Great place to bring in the New Year - we loved the BBQ hut and hot tub!

We didn’t realise it was quite so ‘open plan’. The second bedroom is a mezzanine floor so you are all effectively in together. The height of the ceiling upstairs was a bit challenging for my 6ft son! And the ladder to access is very tight and very steep.

Beautiful little Hideaway

Loved everything! From the fairy lit pathway up to the house, the house itself and up to the BBQ hut was cute, cosy and quiet. We especially enjoyed the hot tub on an evening after long walks and the BBQ hut is worth a visit too! The only complaint i have is.... the bed is too comfortable! I did not want to get up 🤣. In all seriousness, beautiful place and we enjoyed our much needed peaceful couple of nights here.

Everything about the stay was amazing , me and my boyfriend had the bestest time and will deffinitely be back, the hot tub was in the perfect spot and I loved going in it in the evening when it was all quiet and dark. We loved the bbq hut aswell and the bbq package was amazing

amazing time and good change to relax and recharge

when we first got to the property it was stunning very clean and a beautiful little walk way to the coach house where we stayed, the owner thought of everything possible to ensure you have an amazing experience, the property was very clean and tidy and was made very cozy for our arrival, it’s in a very quite place so very beautiful and peaceful i would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful getaway i will be definitely be booking again soon

We stayed here for a few nights with the dog, and the cottage was lovely, cosy and very clean on arrival! The location is great for days out in the Lake District and the BBQ hut is a great addition. We used this every night as well as the jacuzzi and both were really easy to use!! We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended this accommodation to friends. Joanna was really helpful in the lead up to the visit with recommendations and guides on everything you need to know about the property!!

The place is very pretty, well furnished and had everything we needed. It was very well done with the fairy lights to the door and the BBQ hut and Jacuzzi were fabulous!

All met or exceeded our expectations. The host checked in with me and was very friendly and helpful, nothing to not like!!

Beautiful quiet cottage with great facilities. Ideal for couple (or with young children)

Cottage was lovely and clean. Barbecue hut was a fantastic addition, really cosy and great for a night in with plenty of space. We had a small dog and the host had provided a dog blanket, some dog biscuits and bowls, which was a nice touch. There was a small bottle of milk and some water in the fridge, again nice touches. Hot tub did not get as much use as I'd hoped, we were too busy but we enjoyed it when we did use it. Towelling dressing gowns provided. Place was lovely and quiet and felt very safe. Not overlooked by main property so you felt like you had your own little space. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could want and the outside space was set up with picnic table and outdoor seating. Location was not too far from places. You are about and hour and a bit from Windermere, but close to some shops in workington. Some lovely local pubs for food. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends.

This is being very picky. our party had 3 adults, the upper bedroom for sleeping is more suited to young children due to the size of the beds and height of the ceiling. Also as there was only a 2 seater settee in the downstairs, one person has to sit on the bed to watch TV. I would say this property would be ideal for a couple on their own, or with children maybe 12 or under. Saying that we really enjoyed our stay there.

Amazing host 😁

Really enjoyed our stay here. We came as a four to celebrate an engagement and exceeded expectations. It was clean and tidy, nothing was too much for Joanna if we needed any assistance. She was so friendly and welcoming. In conversation, I mentioned that me and my girlfriend got engaged the night before and she left a bottle of champagne on our doorstep which was so nice of her. 10/10.

Perfect little Hideaway from the world

Scenery Hill was the perfect little hideaway we were looking for. It was in a serene idyllic little village, and we felt hidden away from the world for the weekend. We did go into keswick for the day, which was a taxi ride away. The taxi service was a great help, as we didn't really know where to go when we realised windermere was a little too far. We used the app to gain any information we needed, which is ideal, and Joanne was attentive and there if and when needed. The coach house had absolutely everything we needed and you wouldn't really have to leave, if there for a short stay. The hot tub was relaxing, but the BBQ was definitely my favourite. With the added bonus of the speaker, it was so relaxing to cook, eat, relax, and chat. With both having really busy jobs, we just needed somewhere that would give us that time together without the hustle and bustle of the world, and this was definitely the perfect choice, with an added bonus of perfect weather. I would definitely recommend and will return, but in the autumn/winter months.

If going for longer periods, take washing up liquid and cloths, and there is a washer if you want to wash clothes, so take washing products.

A very relaxing stay in a beautiful property

Beautiful property with great attention to detail. Lovely to be greeted with a birthday card as well as dog bed, biscuits and bowls for our dog. Fantastic BBQ hut and hot tub. Everything was spotlessly clean. Visited by a gorgeous hedgehog at dusk! Quiet location and very private.

Steep stairs to mezzanine that’s almost part of the master open plan bedroom. My fault for not reading and understanding the property layout. Great for a couple or a couple with young family. Not so great for two couples or those with young adults due to privacy and having to walk through main bedroom to the bathroom. Shame the local pub was closed!

A totally unique and delightful little property just a 25 minute drive from Keswick.

I booked this delightful little property for my partners birthday and it exceeded all expectations. The property itself was immaculate and very well equipped. There was nothing I could think of that they had missed, even down to the roof covering for the hot tub which is much needed with the classic lake district rainfall! Despite being in close proximity to the main house, I never once felt that we didn't have total privacy. The bbq hut was a unique and added bonus. Perfect for a romantic cosy evening 🙂 Joanne the host was super fast to respond and couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. Me and my partner have stayed in lots of hotels and cottages and would honestly rate this little gem a 10 out of 10.

All fresh clean and brand new. Everything we needed.

The hot tub wasn't hot the second night or the morning before we left. There was enough water in above the jets also so we wasn't sure why. Dark walk ways of an evening and couldn't find no way to turn lights on. Cottage place was perfect otherwise.

I loved everything little thing about the scenery hill hideaway, it was amazing! From the beautiful coach house, BBQ Hut which was beautiful touch! The lovely outside of the coach house just everything was absolutely beautiful. I loved how very clean the property was from top to bottom. The Host Joanna was also amazing!!

Where do I start? From booking to check out, everything ran beautifully. The owner is very responsive, friendly and welcoming, ensuring our stay was 5* The coach house is simply beautiful. The attention to detail is incredible. Everything you could need and more has been thought of and provided. Even the walk from the main house to the coach house is magical. We absolutely loved the bbq, which is the main reason I booked as my partner is an avid BBQ fan! This was the highlight of his stay and the optional BBQ package was to die for! Equipped with things I’d have never even thought of, cozy and a real treat! The hot tub was amazing too (my favourite bit) absolutely perfect after a day of walking in Buttermere. Our collies very much enjoyed their stay too. Being secure in the back meant they could wander a little and we didn’t worry about losing them. Again, more thought of details -dog feeding bowls and a dog blanket. Both of which we had forgotten to bring! Overall, our stay was amazing. This home from home shows how thought of and welcomed their customers are. We can’t wait to come back!

Gorgeous cottage

Really beautiful Cottage, it feels like it has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. It is very private with lovely views from the garden out to rolling hills and fields. We made great use of the Hot tub, using it every morning first thing then again under the stars before bedtime. We also used the BBQ hut a couple of nights and it didn't disappoint. The kitchen is lovely and fully kitted out, we cooked a few meals including a full Sunday roast and everything needed was supplied, it was also all spotless. The bathroom is huge with a double shower which has a very strong spray, there is also his and hers sinks. The main living area has a very comfortable 2 seater couch and a lovely firm double bed. There is a great view out to the fields from a double patio door which takes you out to a very private garden, and of course the hot tub. There is also stair access up to a mezzanine with 2 single beds. The cottage is also equipped with the full Sky TV package which was an added bonus with the Masters Golf being on during our stay, we also used it to watch some Sky TV box sets when relaxing between trips out. The property is situated in a rural location which we loved, however there are large supermarkets and amenities only a 10 mins drive away. It also acts as a great starting point to get out and explore all that the lake district has to offer. We chose this property for our holiday primarily because it was Dog friendly and it really was! The grounds are very secure and we could leave our 2 small dogs to explore the garden without fear of them escaping. Inside there was a dog bed supplied with some dog bowls and also a jar of Doggy biscuits which was a nice touch. We informed the host just after booking that we would be bringing our Dogs and it was no trouble. Communication with the host was excellent both before and during the stay.

A Wonderful Stay at The Coachouse in Branthwaite. I had a fantastic stay at The Coachouse in Branthwaite! The property itself is absolutely beautiful, with a charming and well-maintained feel that made it instantly welcoming. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating—they truly went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. One highlight was the lovely BBQ area, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. Another was the nearby Wild Duck pub, which was a great spot just across the road. I highly recommend The Coachouse to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. I’ll definitely be back!
