Castle Cottage, Orford

Gorgeous to be in an original cottage in a central location. A lovely bathroom. Kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were comfy. Decor very tasteful

Garden needs attention. Chairs need maintenance and seat pads for comfort. Some weeding and tidying is needed. Very cobwebby. Stairs v steep which make visits to the toilet tricky.

Great location for a peaceful stay - parking round the corner, easy access to corner shop, the sea etc there were lots of guidebooks and info, games.

We were fine but steep cottage stairs and the toilet downstairs so not for infirm or elderly. No rugs for a cool evening and some of the cupboards etc could be spruced up in future - nail on chair pulled my jumper! Lots of tatt in 'unused' cupboards. Drain for shower/sink ran slow.

Great location in the middle of the village. Comfy for the 4 of us with enough seating, crockery, etc.

The stairs are super steep!!!

The location is wonderful - good dog walks - lovely village - excellent bakery - good choice of pubs should you want them Castle/church all easily accessible

It was disappointing that no basics - such as milk - were left in order to have a drink on arrival Some of the notes in the information were somewhat draconian - particularly being told you would be charged for not recycling any glass - having to strip the beds and place the towels in the bath - there isn’t one - particularly when you have been charged a very high cleaning fee The bath towels could be bigger and as the heating was out of synch it was not always easy to dry them The bar of soap was minimal and perhaps it would be better to promote local products No oven gloves and no baking trays in the oven The heating was not working properly and on the last morning there was no hot water
