Historic Jelly Bean Row House Walk to Signal Hill

Issue with parking. Told it was on the same street but the area to park was about 4 blocks away and it wasn’t clear about where we could park so got a $60 parking fee - host was unsympathetic. House was nice but getting dated. Showers very small or the tub converted to a shower was very awkward to use because of the setup. A couple of the beds were uncomfortable

The location is great - you can easily walk to all the main spots in St John’s. The house is lovely with a nice open first floor layout. 2 bedrooms & bath on 2nd floor and 3rd floor is open with bed and bath. Kitchen is decently equipped. Washer & dryer were appreciated. The hosts were very responsive.

Hard to beat the location. From the house, you have access to anything you need in downtown St. John's. Check-in, check-out, everything was straightforward and easy. Host was very communicative and friendly.

The house was a bit dated and worn out. Maybe this is just in comparison to other places we stayed on our visit to Newfoundland, but it seems the house needs a little bit of love. Its not bad by any means, and I can only imagine that its a really old house being a row house in St. John's! But a refreshing of the kitchen, backyard and bathrooms would go a long way. I noticed there's no AC, but fortunately we didn't require it.

Location. Parking was easy.

No air conditioning (extra fans were brought in to ho) - very responsive host. Step- to the kitchen or poorly marked and we’re quite hazardous. The outside steps were hazard as well. Loose stones and unstable resulted in Near fall several times. The refrigerator needs updating. The backyard sitting area would be nice place to spend some time outdoors however it was poorly kept up and it was quite a hazard area with holes in the wood flooring. Poor space for get together with other family members- space is not inviting.
