Solar Mendonça Boutique Hotel

This property is outstanding! I loved everything about my stay and was especially impressed by how exceptionally clean it was. As a frequent traveler who usually stays in five-star hotels, I am sometimes disappointed by the level of cleanliness in such establishments. However, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. The room smelled fresh, and there was not a trace of dust anywhere. It was truly impressive! A big thank you to the housekeeping team for their excellent work. The staff were also incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family who are visiting Portugal!

Everything was perfect

Great location in the centre of Faro, a few minutes walk from the marina and Old Town area and close to bars and restaurants. The room was excellent, spotless and with good air conditioning. Lovely terrace with the room and the rooftop area was great. We loved the storks clattering their beaks from the roof of the adjacent church. Take the ferry to Faro Beach - outstanding value at €4.10 for a return trip.

Nothing - the hotel doesn't have a bar of serve food but there are so many close by it's not a problem. There is no lift so access to the upstairs floor might be awkward for some, although help with luggage was offered.

This is an immaculately maintained apartment in an historical building. It’s close to the central pedestrian zone. Staff could not have been more helpful, particularly when I realized I had left my AirPods behind.
