Shallowbag Bay 704 is a newly remodeled condo situated in the exclusive waterfront community of Shallowbag Bay Club. The end-unit layout offers more privacy and natural light along with panoramic views of the picturesque surroundings. When you arrive, skip the stairs and use the building elevator to send up your luggage and groceries. You'll enter into a comfortably furnished, open-concept great room that includes a wet bar with wine fridge and access to a covered deck overlooking the marina. Hardwood floors and tile flow throughout this entire dog-friendly condo, even in the bedrooms - you won't find any carpet here! Get dinner started in the fully stocked kitchen with plenty of prep space and a peninsula with bar seating. The dining area leads out to a screened porch that connects to a deck accessed by the two secondary bedrooms. The primary suite provides access to the marina-facing deck and includes an updated private bath with spacious walk-in shower.
Shallowbag Bay Club is a quaint boating community situated along Roanoke Island's Scarborough Creek. The full service marina offers fishing charters and boat slips (please contact the Dockmaster in advance to make arrangements if bringing a boat). Additional on-site amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness center, grill, fish cleaning station, and a clubhouse with pool table. In the evenings, stroll along the boardwalk and out to the boat docks where you'll find a front-row seat for watching the spectacular sunsets. You won't have to go far for great food and drinks, since the waterfront restaurant Stripers Bar and Grille is conveniently located on-site.
Be sure to set aside a day or two to explore Downtown Manteo, truly a hidden gem of the Outer Banks. Browse an eclectic array of unique, locally owned businesses including boutiques, galleries and eateries. Walk to the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse for a trip back in time, or cross the bridge over to Roanoke Island Festival Park where you'll find The Pavilion Outdoor Theatre, a live-entertainment venue with lawn-style amphitheater seating that hosts concerts and festivals throughout the year. Place was nice but oven was broken and no gas grill found on premises so couldn't cook some stuff we brought with us. Receptionist said she would call me back with oven repair status and never did. Also the small sink on bar was disgusting in that it had been so long since used the spigot was clogged with mold. Needs to be cleaned and disinfected. We just didn't use it. Noisy dogs first thing in morning so dont plan on sleeping in. Also person next door plays TV all night long so be prepared for that. We were up early with baby so didn't bother us. Otherwise beautiful place, nice location, and great pool. Would definitely go back again.

We have been travelling to Manteo for years, but this was the first time staying at Shallowbags. This was a great condo in the perfect location for us to walk to Festival Park for a concert! It was clean and we loved the pool access.There were a few maintenance issues which were handled promptly by the property manager. Would definitely stay here again!
