The room is in the center of the old town. It could not have a better location. The view from the room is great but the downside is that it is high and there are quite a few steps to reach the room. We loved the room, it was pretty comfortable and had everything that we needed. The host sent a short video to help us enter the building in the first place. This was very helpful.
We did not know how to enter the building until the day before we arrived. This is reasonable but we did not have contact with the host before that, so we were worried until we knew that we would be told the key box code etc.. Then all was good.

Great view from bedroom, location handy, excellent to have a washing machine. Heating was exceptional. Really appreciated the coffee supply and some general basics like laundry pods, kitchen needs like paper towels and soaps in bathroom. Kitchen was cute, table and all, but everything dated and a bit dirty. We actually loved the place, but many will not, as it needs a lot of work to make it 5 star. We loved the character, but not the dirt and hair in the bathroom and the built up grease in the kitchen. Good supply of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and pots. Salt, pepper, sugar all the basics, even baking paper. No teatowels in Italy though, as we have the drying cupboard.
Stairs, stairs and more stairs, although expected in Siena, but this is a narrow 3 flights straight up. Everything rather worn, especially the toilet seat, watch out for splinters, wardrobes, beds and all furniture. I got a splinter in my finger nail from wiping the table. The kitchen and bathroom need a very good clean. Beds are basic and reasonably thin and definitely squeaky. All add to the experience though. If you are looking for high end, this is not your place. But if you are happy with character, then you'll be sweet. We defintely enjoyed our stay, even with the workman that made a visit to fit some conduit into our shower area, for the new split system air conditioning. Just added character to our stay. LOVE ITALY
