Cambridge Countryside Guest Room

A very comfortable room on a rural property. We wanted to stop for the night last minute part way home after driving to Auckland. This was close to the roads we were travelling and at a good price. Very cosy and private with a garden outlook. Easy instructions from the owner for entry. Well equipped kitchenette and nice bathroom. Would stay again.

The room is lovely tucked away on a rural property in Ōhaupō.

I loved everything! The room was located close to the event that I was attending and was very quiet and peaceful. If you want a room away from it all, this was it! The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen facilities were good, and the shower was excellent with plenty of hot water and a powerful spray. We were able to watch movies in the evening as well as just stepping outside to stargaze as the room is well away from the city lights. The wi-fi was all right as long as it wasn't needed for work.

My single issue was that due to my long travel length, I missed the email with the arrival instructions. If the instructions could have been sent earlier, that would have been helpful. Luckily, the host was at home and was able to let me in. Otherwise, my stay was perfect!

The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean.

It was more isolated than described and the ‘fully equipped’ kitchenette didn’t include a cooktop. The Internet kept going off and there was no live tv. It was basically a room at the back of a shed and cost us the same as a beautiful room with an ocean view in Paihia the night before.
