The Cottage Negombo

If you look for a home stay kind of feeling with basic, clean cottages, then look no further! The Cottage Negombo is located in a peaceful part of the city and it feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle here. The owner and staff make you feel at home and go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience. The chef is excellent and the property looks exactly like the pictures.

We enjoyed everything. Don’t go here if you expect a 5-star resort. Do go here if you want to feel welcome in a very comfortable and clean home stay with excellent food.

The property is beautifully made and well kept by the staff there. A special shout out to Assanga, our property manager who stayed up late for our check in and then was ever eager to serve us delicious breakfast. The property was exceptionally clean and will highly recommend to everyone as u get a cottage assigned to yourself.

Nothing. Everything was great

We stayed at the cottage as our last stop before our flight home and it was beautiful! It was the perfect serene stay to relax. As you walk in we were welcomed with watermelon juice and a peaceful atmosphere. The host was so lovely, taking our bags and taking our food orders which he kindly delivered to our room as he could see we were tired ! The food was delicious and the chef went out of his way to talk to every person to introduce himself. (He even made us extra pancakes in the morning! ) the bungalow was lovely and the perfect size. The pool is open 24 hours which is nice for a dip at any time. It felt local and we felt very taken care of , I was so suprised at the price we paid for this experience as the value for money is amazing! It felt like we were in luxury. Thank you to all the staff !

In the booking.com the size of the cottage is given as 83 Sq mts but actually it’s less than 30 Sq mt

Its size is mentioned as 83 sq mt in booking.com and actually it’s 30 sq mt. Very misleading. It’s dingy and depressing
