Lovely location but generally unclean

Lovely location. Large table to sit round. Two log burners, comfy beds, large driveway, minutes from local walks. Coffee and tea, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid provided

Old pans, no sharp knives, no bins in the bathrooms, and we are not overly picky with things, but this house needs a deep clean. The skirting boards in downstairs bathroom was so grubby. There was dead flies in the bedroom and a build up of hair in the carpets and the rooms did not look like they had been hoovered. We had to mop the floor in the kitchen 3 times for it to come clean. The cushions are dirty in the living room. There is mismatched furniture. There was a pile of rubbish in the garden and no logs and kindling for when we got there as stated. I have still scored the property quite high despite this because we were able to have a lovely time for new year. There was grime around the edge of the washer and the stairs were not hoovered. We had to wear footwear throughout the house due to the floors. The toilet roll holder falling off in the en suite also and only one towel each provided. Overall we had a good stay but the cleanliness means we would not return or recommend. Sad really because it’s a lovely house in an amazing area, but the cleanliness let it down.

Christmas stay

Everything! Very responsive host, lovely clean, very spacious, beautifully decorated, amazing scenery around the property, loved the log burners, big enough to house all 10 of us comfortably and a massive table for Christmas dinner! The first Christmas we have been away and it was perfect. Will definitely be going back, thank you!

Amazing little find

The house was amazing, plenty of space, great range of board games. The owner was very friendly would highly recommend

The ensuite is a little small but the 2 other bathrooms make up for it

Great find.. Super cost and a great family getaway

The house was huge and plenty of room to accommodate us all. Nice touch with the board games which came in handy with the weather we had. The beds were super comfy and the fires were cosy. Great kitchen and dining area that we used loads. Will definitely be back in the summer months
