Cozy Top-Floor Apartment in Riga City Centre

The location of the apartment is superb. Building is renovated and having an elevator is a huge plus. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby, also public transport. Nice size apartment, the kitchen is quite well equipped and the TV and the living room was great. Also we really enjoyed that the apartment had a washing machine. Very easy check in and good communication.

Unfortunately the door to the bathroom cannot be closed which is quite a basic need if you are not staying in the apartment alone.. The apartment felt extremely hot and stuffy, the fan was not really working and there was no AC. Bed was not really comfortable so we did not have a great nights sleep.

Asunto oli yleisilmeeltään siisti ja sopivan kokoinen. Siellä mahtui neljä henkilöä majoittumaan mukavasti. Sijainti oli todella hyvä ja siitä oli helppo liikkua eri paikkoihin. Majoittaja vastasi viesteihin nopeasti.

Asunnossa ei ole minkäänlaista ilmanvaihtoa ja koko majoituksemme ajan asunnossa oli yli 25° lämmintä sekä ilma oli hyvin seissyttä. Asunnosta löytyi yksi tuuletin, mutta se ei riittänyt koko asuntoon, kun osa nukkui makuuhuoneessa ja osa olohuoneessa. Kylpyhuoneessa suihku ei vetänyt juuri ollenkaan ja lattialle jäi vesi tulvimaan, vaikka olisi yrittänyt käydä nopeasti lyhyessä suihkussa. Kylpyhuoneen lattian tulvimisen seurauksena oven karmit olivat turvonneet ja kylpyhuoneen ovea ei saanut lainkaan kiinni.

The bathroom door was broken and had come off its hinges. There was also a large gap between the shower cabin door and the floor, which caused a large puddle of water to form on the floor after taking a shower. Also, the lamp was broken in the bedroom. There were also stains on the sofa and dirt on the floor. It’s very strange that the cleaning company didn’t notice these issues. Or perhaps the apartment wasn’t cleaned at all before our arrival. Overall, I don’t think the price is justified given the condition of the apartment.
