Chic apartment - 1BR/4P - Places des Vosgues

The apartment and the building are lovely. There are many thoughtful things that have been included. However, the people operating the access to the apartment, Check My Guest, are very difficult to deal with and would keep me from using any service using them. They refused to give me any information about accessing the apartment prior to my arriving in France. In spite of the 5000 miles I was flying across the Atlantic, the several thousand dollars I had prepaid, and my inability to access email after leaving home the day before for an overnight flight from an interational airport several hour from my home. After explaining this to them multiple times while I still had email they did not budge. Finally someone sent me via email a several pages of instructions, with pictures of how I might get a key to the apartment. It was the most convoluted, ridiculous set of instructions I have ever received, and my husband and I always stay in VRBO places in the US and In Europe and the Caribbean. You had to access antoher apartment building down the street to get the keys. Then the instructions did not include what you were to do with which key fob. Luckily a tenant came by and told me which of the 3 attached fobs had to be swiped and where. Returning the keys was the same "micky mouse" routine. Other than all the anxiety Check My Guest Caused us, the apartment was very nice. There was a dirty rug in the living room and a dirty chair that needed to be cleaned,. Other than that we really like the apartment. It was in the Marais, but only barely. There were several good restaurants within a block or two of the apartment. This was our second stay in the Marais. Lesson lelarned: Ask about how the access works before you agree to rent from any of these rental operations.

The apartment is clean and has nice light. I wish there had been additional toilet paper and paper towels and there were also no garbage bags. Had the apartment had more of those essentials it would have been perfect!

The apartment in the Marais district was perfect for our family of four, The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from the Place des Vosges and the Picasso Museum, We loved exploring the charming cobbled streets,

The place was fine. Smaller that the pictures appear. The glass wall in the bedroom to the terrace was locked, so there was no fresh air in the bedroom. The shower was excellent, nice big fridge, the terrace was a pleasure.
