Very nice apartment. The location is great and the staff are lovely (although Thai people are on average lovely). You are only about a 10 minute walk to the BTS trains where you can buy a one day travelcard to explore the city. Walking in the area is pleasant. Despite the dodgy telecommunication/electrical wiring along some of the side streets, it seemed to be quite posh area of Bangkok, and it felt very safe to walk in the area. For a good view of the city skyline, I recommend walking 20 minutes to the Radisson Blue Roof Top Bar ("Brewsters"). Also, for the English, you can get a lovely English Breakfast with black pudding at the English Pub round the corner. The facilities in the room I had were very good. We booked a two bedroom apartment with good cooking and washing facilities. Not that you should be staying in, but there was a TV in all the bedrooms and the living room, with ensuite bathrooms to both bedrooms which include baths with jacuzzi functionality in addition to showers and the standard toilet setup in Thailand with "bum guns" available. I also liked that when they wash the rooms they provide complementary bottle water.

The double bed I slept in was hard. It felt like I was on a block of wood with a thin mattress on top. I like hard beds, and had I slept on my own this wouldn't have been an issue, but for some reason I felt every movement of my partner as she tossed and turned.
