Sliema Gem with Spectacular Coastal Views

This apartment on the 8th floor has amazing views and it is a good base to explore Malta, especially for first timers in Malta. The bus stop is directly opposite and it is easy to use public transport. Sliema is a good location for any age group or traveller. We enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear water, directly across the road. We thought it was as good as any other swimming beaches in Malta even though it is a rocky foreshore. There are ladders to use to get into the water. The facilities were modern and the apartment is spacious and comfortable for large groups. Everything, like convenience stores and restaurants, are within very easy walking distance. We were even able to park our rental car for free on the road outside the apartment. There wasn't any noise issues from other residents because there was only one apartment per floor. There is a lift. The staff were responsive to our requests and the check in instructions were clear. The air con worked well. We had a good sleep each night despite the busy main road because the bedrooms are at the back.

Even though the apartment has amazing views, unfortunately the afternoon sun on the balcony and in the living area was very harsh and we could not sit on the balcony until after sunset. The apartment seems to need better upkeep and maintenance. The balcony awning was broken, the towel hook was missing, there were marks on the walls and the mattresses were thin. We had to clean the clothes airer before we used it and we're not sure if the balcony had been cleaned before our arrival.

-very good location: wonderful view of the bay and near bus station - big bedrooms (2 of them) - helpful staff

-it could have more socket adapters - at least one bedroom could have a queen or king size bed (all beds were only 200x140 cm) - in the living room it was a little bit cold and noisy on rainy and windy days - should give more attention to the details (the living curtain was installed in a wrong position)
