Vita Portucale ! Sintra Retreat Villa with Pool

We loved the outside space. The gardens were large, beautiful and well maintained. The pool was great. Stunning! The house was very spacious and a perfect size for our family group of four adults and a baby.

Mooie villa, prachtige tuin, het zwembad was nog iets te koud, maar we waren er dan ook in april. Je zit niet vr van de kust en je ziet in de verte het mooie Pena Palace. Voor ons een ideale ligging. Vriendelijke ontvangst!

Family holiday with our grown up sons, villa was great with three double bedrooms, we had the largest one upstairs with views over the garden and pool area, bed was really comfortable and I can honestly say I have not slept that well in years due to the secluded location and the only noise being the birds singing in the trees. The living area is large with a lovely fireplace which we used with logs supplied and pine cones for that lovely crackling noise in the evening as March is not the warmest month. The boys liked the retro stereo which they had tuned to radio Luxembourg all week. Outside the pool is a good size with stunning views of Penna Palace in the distance. Large secluded garden area to front and back. On arrival at the villa Sintra had been struck with storms which had brought several trees down in the garden and the pool was not usable due to the pump room being flooded, but after a couple of messages to the company managing the property everything was resolved the following day, we were really impressed with the level of service and would definitely recommend.

During our stay there was little to complain about, Upstairs shower door was leaking and could do with a refurb, living area lampshades need replacing, cooker/oven has seen better days and outdoor furniture is tired, but everything is usable.

Location was good, easy to get into the town using Uber. The property was in a quiet area and the pool was a good size

Bathroom downstairs was in need of some renovation, the shower curtain was mouldy. The oven needed cleaning as did the BBQ. Towels and bed linen were showing signs of age. The television aerial was broken.
