It was well-equipped, good wifi, nice homely touches & easy access for self check-in.
It’s on busy traffic artery, but the noise dies down after 9pm. Allow a bit of extra time if walking to the property - until Aug 2026 the area around the station is undergoing a massive construction project, which adds road, bike and foot traffic congestion.

Really lovely
Road noise but that can’t be avoided in this room

This room is absolutley incredible value for money. The location was incredibly convenient. The room was well decorated, comfortable and clean, with all the expected facilities available as well as many more. I was surprised to have access to a lovely little shared kitchen, with trays available to bring things to my room, milk and other little extras that made life much easier. When I had a question, I got a quick reply and the staff seemed genuinely motivated to make my stay comfortable.
It wasn't initially clear to me that there was a kitchen available, and ironically because of the exellent price, I wouldn't have thought to look for one if my tea making station hadn't been out of milk. As the room alone far exeeded my expectations. Simmilarly I was not certain kitchen amenities I was allowed to use. One shelf in the fridge was marked as available for guest use, but I was anxious about using amenities such as the cereal despenser on the counter and crockery. It would be helpful to have a sign or leaflet in the rooms, letting guests know what they have access to. Aditionally whilst the location was convenient it was a little noisy. But nothing terrible.

Self contained room with everything I needed. Access to a kitchen and laundry facilities downstairs. Easy walk into Oxford centre although the bridge closure makes bus or cab travel difficult. I understand that will be fixed by 2026.
Double glazed so pretty quiet unless you open windows to let cool air in.
Host is pleasant and not at all intrusive. He takes real pride in his property and it is well maintained and spotlessly clean.
I tried to book a back room for the quiet but missed out by a keystroke. There was some traffic noise although double glazing really helps. It didn’t stop me sleeping.
With curtains wide open I was a little exposed.
As with most properties in the UK, there was a duvet/doona on the bed. There is no a/c so when the days were hot and nights warm I would have preferred a top sheet and a cotton blanket.
The stairs are quite steep. If someone had mobility challenges, they would need to ensure they book a downstairs room.

The location is great — there’s an Aldi and a Waitrose just downstairs. The view from the room is also quite nice.
The duvet had a strong unpleasant smell, possibly due to not being washed or from drying in a damp environment. It was quite off-putting. Also, the bathroom is relatively small.

The Room was clean, cosy, modern, the bed was really comfortable. The owner was very friendly and nice. Free milk, butter, coffee and tea.
Very small bathroom, no place for “necessaries”.
The place is about 1,5 km away from the downtown, but we’re goers so no prob.

Nice room in a classic English home. The price was affordable compared to other options. The host was really nice and helped us with all the questions we had.
The bed is a bit small and it's the kind of bed which has a headboard and a footboard which makes it difficult to sleep in for taller people (i'm 184cm). This made me sleep in slightly unorthodox positions which were not quite comfortable :).
