About this cottage rental

A cosy Cotswold retreat. Close to Soho farmhouse, Dalesford Organic, Diddly Squat & Rolright Stones.

Nestled in the heart of the picturesque village, The Old Sweet Shop is a delightful stone-built cottage with a rich history dating back to 1790. This cottage has been beautifully modernised, blending its charming past with modern comforts. Now offering accommodation for up to 10 guests (8 in bedrooms and 2 on a pull-out couch).

Walking distance to shop, playground, butcher, pubs and brewery.

Spacious Accommodations: Three tastefully furnished bedrooms sleep up to 6 guests. The second living room aka 'The Minstrels Gallery' sleeps two in a double bed on the mezzanine and a further two on a pull out double couch. So up to 10 people in total.

Historic coziness and comfort: The cottage boasts two inviting living rooms adorned with 200-year-old oak beams and an inglenook fireplace, alongside a bar-billiards table for indoor entertainment.

Outdoors: A private garden which includes a paved patio invites you to enjoy the sunshine and dine alfresco with our traditional Cotswold stone barbecue. The local butcher is a short walk away and is excellent. Be careful if you buy any of the 'California reaper scotch eggs' though! They are super hot.

Contemporary Amenities: With good wireless internet, a Smart TV, DVD player, and Bose Bluetooth speaker, modern comforts are at your fingertips.

Explore Hook Norton and Beyond:
The Old Sweet Shop sits in the heart of Hook Norton, a picturesque village that's retained its period charm. Just a short drive from Dalesford Organic and Soho Farmhouse, and within walking distance of local pubs and a brewery, you're ideally situated to experience the best of local life and the surrounding countryside.

Ideal For:
This cottage is perfect for those eager to experience the tranquility and beauty of the Cotswolds, enjoy memorable outdoor meals, and explore the area's rich history and attractions. Whether gathering by the fireplace, hosting a garden BBQ, or venturing out to nearby landmarks, The Village Sweet Shop is your gateway to a quintessential English countryside escape.

Experience the perfect blend of historical allure and modern comfort at The Village Sweet Shop, your home away from home in the Cotswolds.
