About this apartment rental
Welcome to the Altstadt-Malerhaus in Einbeck. Our stylish 120-square-meter vacation apartment, which sleeps up to 6 people, is located on the first floor of a 150-year-old half-timbered house.
The house was the home and studio of our great-grandfather, Karl Schrader. He was a painter in both senses of the word: a master painter and an artist. In his younger years, he also helped restore the famous ceiling paintings at St. Michael’s Church in Hildesheim. Works by him and other artists from Einbeck give the house and the vacation apartment their unique character.
Thanks to its central location, the PS-Speicher, the brewery, the market square, the historic churches, the municipal museum, and the ramparts and parks are all within a few minutes’ walk. In the immediate vicinity, trails along the Ilme River, through meadows, hills, and forests invite you to go hiking and biking.
On-site parking, as well as motorcycle and bicycle parking spaces, are available.

With 120 square meters of space, the vacation apartment offers plenty of room for families and small groups of up to 6 people. The non-smoking apartment features 3 bedrooms, a large living room with a TV, stereo system, and a well-stocked bookshelf, a spacious kitchen with a stove, oven, dishwasher, and dining area for 6 people, and a bathroom with a shower, bathtub, and toilet. Thanks to Wi-Fi and desks in two of the bedrooms and in the living room, the apartment is also ideal for business travelers. A small outdoor seating area invites you to enjoy the evening sun. The apartment is located on the first floor of a historic half-timbered house.
Whether it’s the ornate ceiling paintings in the large entry hall or the many oil paintings and watercolors—they all contribute to the special charm of this apartment. And if the many paintings inspire you to get creative yourself, you’ll find a wide selection of paints, brushes, painting paper, and easels at the store on the first floor.
On-site costs: Payment must be made via advance bank transfer. Credit card payment is possible for last-minute arrivals. An advance payment equal to the total price will be charged after booking. Check-in is available from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Check-out is by 10:00 a.m. Keys will be handed over in person on-site after arranging a time by phone. Pets are not allowed. Included services: final cleaning, bed linens and towels, Wi-Fi. A washer and dryer are available upon request for a fee. Parking is available.
