Only steps from Buckingham Palace and Big Ben

Great location, near Victoria coach line and subway, walking distance to big ben , flexible checkout time was a bonus

Just need kettle and tea would be great

- It was NOT steps away from Big Ben, it was a solid 30 minute walk. - Restrictive key collection times.

It was accessible by public transport or on foot - walking to Big Ben takes 30-40 minutes if you are fairly quick. Public transport to Westminster/Soho is very quick (20-30min). It‘s in a nice, safe part of town. If you are looking for food, Battersea park is a 10min walk away and has many delicious options until late in the evening. There are also 1-2 pubs nearby that I didn‘t get a chance to try but they looked nice. Heating & hot water work very well so you won‘t be cold (an issue I‘ve had in the UK previously). The pictures are accurate. The bathroom is shared but no complaints there.

It is right next to a railway track which is quite loud throughout the night, and the curtains let in a lot of light, so earplugs/sleeping mask are a good idea. With the window closed it‘s alright. The mattress and pillows were not comfortable to me, as the mattress spring kept poking me and the pillows were rather lumpy. It is a shared apartment with the owner, but there was no kitchen/refrigerator for the guest to keep food fresh or a possibility to make coffee, so it does mean you‘ll have to eat out or buy groceries daily.
