Paris Green House residence

Great location for our family (4 adults, 4 kids). There is a great little playground at one end of the block with shade trees, play equipment, benches and water misters for hot days. Supermarket, bus stops, restaurants, and Jardin des Plantes all within easy walking distance for the little ones. We loved the amount of space in the property, and found it to be quiet, restful, and private. The kitchen was well-equipped and clean with ample plates, utensils, etc. The beds were comfortable. The layout and design of the property are interesting - we enjoyed all the natural light and architectural features of the space which made it inviting and pleasant. The neighborhood felt very safe, and neighbors in the courtyard were quiet and friendly. We would stay here again.

Our stay was during a severe heat wave, and the skylight ceiling made the living areas unbearably hot (this is not the fault of the host, of course, but is something worth considering if you are planning a summertime visit). Two of the bedrooms were too hot for kids to sleep in when the outdoor temps were in the 90sF. The kitchen area also gets quite hot due to sun exposure on that side of the building. The host did supply a large number of fans. I think that this property would be fine to stay in during typical summer weather up to the 80s, just not great for a heat wave. The refrigerator/freezer drawers in the kitchen are not cold enough to sufficiently chill/freeze food. There is a supplemental fridge/freezer in the basement bedroom. This was okay but it was inconvenient to have to go up/downstairs from the kitchen whenever we needed something. Last small issue is that we were supplied 1 towel/person and no washcloths, and some of the bed linens were strange (queen-size sheet on a twin bed, missing pillows, etc). It wasn't a huge problem but made what was otherwise a very nice space feel a bit cheap.

We had a great stay. There was more than enough room for our family of five and it a great location close to the metro and great restaurants. I’d highly recommend this property.

Eine außergewöhnliche und sehr großzügige Unterkunft in toller Lage. Wir waren fünf Erwachsene und zwei Kinder und hatten mehr als genug Platz. Das Haus hat viel Charme und großes Potenzial. Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren sauber. Insgesamt haben wir uns trotz der Mängel wohlgefühlt.

Leider besteht ein deutlicher Wartungs- und Renovierungsstau. Mehrere Armaturen sind locker oder mechanisch defekt, Klimaanlagen, Lichtschalter und weitere Elektronik funktionieren teilweise nicht. Ein bereitgestellter Ventilator hat sogar die Sicherung ausgelöst. In der Küche wird einiges durch Behelfslösungen ersetzt; auch die Kaffeemaschinen waren nicht vernünftig nutzbar. Der Kühlschrank im Keller war sehr unsauber, funktionierte nur teilweise und hatte schimmelartige Stellen. Auch die Reinigung könnte gründlicher sein: schmutzige Fenster, Asche im Kamin und fremde Socken bei unserer Ankunft. Besonders kritisch fanden wir den beschädigten Boden im Eingangsbereich mit deutlichen Stolperstellen. Unsere Kinder sind dort bereits gestürzt. Für knapp 2.100 € für vier Nächte hätten wir einen deutlich besseren Zustand und eine sorgfältigere Instandhaltung erwartet. Sehr schade, denn das Haus selbst ist wirklich etwas Besonderes.
