Casa Porta Metronia

Very cozy and spacious apartment in 20 minutes from Colosseum! The owner was very kind and provided us with pasta, tomato sauce, and coffee capsules for our stay. Everything was very clean and well prepared for our stay. I recommend this apartment to everyone!

There were four of us (2 adults and 2 teenagers), staying in the apartment, and I can say that we were extremely satisfied with our stay. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Domenico is exceptionally kind, responsive, and welcoming. We received all the necessary instructions about the location and how to access the apartment in advance, so our arrival went completely smoothly. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the host’s thoughtful touches – coffee, tea, and some food were available, which was perfect for a first meal after the journey. The location of the apartment is excellent – there is a bus stop nearby, the metro is just a few minutes’ walk away, and you can even walk to major attractions, such as the Colosseum. In the surrounding area, there are many bars, restaurants, a bakery, a pharmacy, and a grocery store, which makes the stay even more convenient. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a pleasant and worry-free stay in Rome. On our next visit to Rome, we will definitely check availability with Domenico again.

Great apartment to stay in Rome. Key delivery was very flexible and smooth. Apartment was clean and well equipped - a plus was the washer/drier clothing machine which helps a lot, specially if you took option to travel light. Also felt quite safe, quite familiar neighborhood away from touristic chaos - past the main entrance, you have an inner courtyard before reaching your building door. Wifi was good. For breakfast either you buy stuff from local supermarkets/stores or as soon as you leave the door you have several options on your doorstep. Location is great, besides the buses (never used them actually) you have the Porta Metronia Line C metro station 6-8m walking distance - from there you go anywhere in the city (1 stop from coliseum and 1 stop from San Geovanni, hubs to other metro lines A and B), so quite practical even coming or going to train station (termini) or airport. Good option of nearby restaurants and local commerce (penny supermarket or pharmacy) as well.
