La Perla di Vale

Posizione perfetta per chi vuole muoversi a piedi. Personale gentile, casa nella media della zona.

Purtroppo il parcheggio è molto difficoltoso ma è normale nel weekend in zona, non dipende dalla struttura.

The location was excellent and close to everything. It was in the old town which was so beautiful.

For a 5 night stay, we thought we would be greeted by the host to welcome us and provide us with some helpful tips during our stay. Communication between us was slow as we had to follow up on our questions.

Il bilocale molto carino e' facilmente raggiungibile dal parcheggio . Nel centro più movimentato di Ortigia .

E' provvisto di tutto cio' che e' necessario .

The communication with the hostess was excellent. The apartment wasn’t readied but she let me leave my luggage there. The apartment is spacious. It is quite well equipped but if you want to do cooking, forget it but it is ok as there are so many restaurants around there that you don’t want to do cooking. There is several fruit stands nearby within 5 minutes walk but it closes around 2 pm . There are 2 small supermarkets nearby where you can buy some groceries but the selection and price both are not good. I walked 2.2 km to Lidl market where it is much bigger with lower prices. The walk to there , there is hardly any sidewalk. The location is excellent. The apartment being on the first floor means you can’t open the door . There is a nice semi outdoor space which is nice. The WiFi worked great. The shower was excellent. The bedroom is big . This is a good place to stay for a few days.

There are few things that I wish I had but that were already communicated with the hostess so there is no need to mention here. The light switches are big confusing but I learned. On the last day I discovered that there is a mirror light and it would have been so nice had I flip on every switch to see where it lighted up. The water is particularly hard and full of minerals . I made coffee with it but the bitterness of the coffee couldn’t mask the hard water. The hostess provided one small bottle of water which of very nice of her. Taste the water first and if you don’t like it, go buy several large bottles because you will need it as the days are getting hotter. The walk to there bus station , which really has no restroom is about 20 minutes . There is a small coffee shop where can get a coffee for 2.5 Euros and it has one restroom. Restroom is available on the trains for free.
