Banyan Scape Villa

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were lovely comfortable and clean. The rooftop area is a lovely place to relax in. There’s breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka. The garden is a closed in area which was great for parking our motorbike. Also it’s a short walk from the beach, supermarket and restaurants. Suranga & his wife Niwanthi are a very welcoming couple. Not to forget their cute fluffy dog.

We had such a lovely stay at Banyan Scape Villa, Matara. Mr. Suranga, the owner, is one of the nicest people you’ll meet — he genuinely knows how to make guests feel welcome. There’s also the sweetest dog on the property, which honestly just made the place feel even more comforting and full of good vibes. The place is right next to the beach and Food City and very convenient of travelling to any place nearby. The rooms are super clean, beautifully decorated, and everything, from the furniture to the fittings, works perfectly. The rooftop terrace has an incredible view of the forest and sea, and there’s a small hill with trees where you can relax with a drink in the evening, we did that every day! Breakfast was another highlight, homemade and absolutely delicious, prepared with care by Mr. Suranga’s wife. It really felt like staying at a friend’s beautiful home. Highly recommending Banyan Scape Villa, if you’re looking for calm, comfort, and a touch of natural beauty in Matara. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Extremely welcoming and helpful family. Lovely property with nice new fresh rooms. I was stuck with nowhere to stay due to a misunderstanding. They took me in late at night, I had no bags with me, they gave me PJ's which was honestly such a lovely lovely thing to do. The breakfast the next-day was gorgeous. Dhal, sambol, potato curry, hoppers, the lot!! 2 types of desert. Genuinely lovely people. AND THEIR DOG!!! omg, the cutest fluff Ball I've ever seen.

Het is een recent geopend kleinschalig hotel. Alles was splinternieuw. Erg ruime kamer met aangrenzend een groot balkon Fijn bed, grote douche met een eigen boiler. Hotel is op loopafstand van het busstation en vlakbij zee. In de directe omgeving bevinden zich voldoende eetgelegenheden. Het ontbijt in de ochtend was ruim voldoende en gevarieerd. Wanneer ik weer in Matara kom zal ik hier zeer zeker weer verblijven. Tot dusver het beste hotel dat ik op srilanka heb geboekt
