This beautifully remodeled 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath home, originally built in 1929, combines historic charm with modern conveniences and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. Nestled in the Fort Screven area, the home is just a 5-minute walk from the ocean and close to iconic Tybee attractions such as the Tybee Lighthouse, bike and golf cart rentals, and delicious local restaurants like The North Beach Grill. As the name suggests, the house sits on the edge of Jaycee Park, one of Tybee's largest parks, where you can stroll barefoot through the grass and across the creek bridge.
The open-concept main floor features a fully updated kitchen with sleek stainless-steel appliances, including a double oven and overlay refrigerator. A breakfast bar with seating for two is perfect for casual meals, while the adjacent 6-seat dining table sets the stage for family dinners. The living room is a cozy retreat with a comfortable sofa, armchairs, and a flat-screen TV. A half bath is conveniently located off the living area.
Step outside to the screened-in porch, an inviting space with an outdoor sectional sofa and an array of games and toys for kids. There’s also an outdoor shower and a spacious backyard for children to play. The home includes a grill for outdoor cooking and entertainment. The yard is bordered by a public park with walking paths, a picnic area with a grill, a playground, a baseball diamond, and basketball and shuffleboard courts.
When it’s time to unwind after a fun day at the beach, choose from three inviting bedrooms. The expansive primary bedroom on the main floor features a king-sized bed, comfortable seating, and an en-suite bath with a stand-alone shower, rain showerhead, and handheld sprayer.The second main-floor bedroom offers a double bed, a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, and its own private bath with a shower-over-tub. The third bedroom is located in a spacious upstairs loft, making it perfect for kids. It features a queen bed, two twin beds, and a flat-screen TV.

We travel to Tybee every year in October. We always stay in a different rental. But we have found our forever vacation rental home. Barefoot in the park is the perfect retreat!! The open floor plan for the kitchen, dining and living room are the perfect place to cook, eat and gather. The modern appliances were a real treat. Each of the 3 bedrooms had its own unique charm. The walk in shower was a surprise. The screened in porches were the perfect place to sit and relax. There is a park for the kids and a walking track literally out your door. It is a short walk to North Beach, the North grill and the Lighthouse. The Property Manager was always available for questions. We have stayed in many houses on Tybee but this is now our favorite. We will be back.

We couldn’t be more impressed with the property! There was endless fun had by our kids, and quiet space for us adults! The house was spectacular (even better than the photos!) thank you for sharing your home with us!

This place was incredible- like living in an art gallery- so many wonderful curated pieces yet the feeling was nothing was too precious-fully live and enjoy the house- and we did! Loved the park for the kids - we could watch from the porch. We were here in may - temps were in the high 70’s - not sure if the a/c unit in the loft would be able to keep up in summer cuz it struggled and was still not that cool- the main house had excellent a/c.
