Overall, we had a good stay at this apartment. The host was very friendly and responsive, and provided clear instructions on how to get the keys and access the Wi‑Fi before our arrival. Getting the keys was easy. The host also offers airport transfer, which is a nice extra. There was plenty of storage space both in the hallway and in the bathroom, which was very convenient. The location is quite good — within walking distance of the LEGO House and LEGOLAND, and there is a Netto supermarket nearby. The kitchen included IKEA plastic containers that were perfect for taking snacks with us to LEGOLAND. There were enough plates, bowls, and cutlery for our stay. Coffee, tea, salt, pepper and olive oil also were available. We also slept very well — possibly simply from being tired after a full day at LEGOLAND, but the beds were comfortable and the apartment was quiet enough for a solid rest. If you feel like drinking tea/coffee outside, there is a small fenced terrace with a table and two chairs.

There were a few things that could be improved. There was no microwave, and only one large pot available in the kitchen — a smaller one would have been useful. A vegetable peeler also would be nice. One end of the sofa was a bit broken, although it didn’t affect sleeping. Additional curtains would be helpful, as the blinds in both rooms let in quite a lot of light, though this may depend on personal preference. The drying stand was also broken, but the host promised to replace it, and I hope this has already been done. The bathroom has no ventilation system, but it was easy to air out quickly. There is also no air conditioning, but this didn’t affect us since the temperature stayed below 20°C.

Location is good to walk to Lego House or Legoland. A supermarket is nearby too. If you plan to cook or make simple breakfast, they have a range of utensils. The host was friendly and responsive. He kindly let us stored our luggage for a bit longer than check in/out time.

Not recommended for summer or warmer months. The flat is too warm with no fan, despite we asked for it on our first day. It was 23 degrees for a few days. The flat was stuffy and hot especially in the evening with the build up heat throughout the day, made it difficult to sleep. The host advised to open windows to sleep, however as Billund is small, when the windows are opened, you can hear the plane and its very loud from around 5:30 -23:30. Also, no blackout curtains, when sunrise is at 5am and sunset at 10pm, it becomes a problem. The chairs of the dinning table are full of stains. And no hair dryer, so remember to bring your own. These are not costly issues for the host to fix, if he could invest to fix these, it would make it a much better stay.
