Riad Dar Karma

We had a really nice 5-night stay at Riad Dar Karma. It is a very traditional Riad and has everything you will need. Very peaceful, especially compared to the craziness of the Medina. Breakfast was really good on the rooftop and the staff were generally very helpful. The riad and rooms were maybe a little dated but nothing too bad. We had the room right by reception which we were worried about being noisy, but it wasn't at all. Comfortable bed (although there was a dip in the middle), so slept really well every night. Also, a large room with air conditioning (which we didn't need as it was always nice and cool, even in the 35 degree heat). There was a safe in the room, but it wasn't fixed to anything and there were no locks on the door to stop people going in whilst we were out, but it all felt very safe and we had no issues. Shampoo and shower gel were provided and the room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and the bed re-made etc. Cannot fault the housekeeping at all. Location wise, it is close enough to walk everywhere (about 20-minutes from the main square) but there are plenty of local bars and restaurants if you don't want to venture that far. If you do want to get out, taxis are very cheap, especially compared to the UK. The most I paid was 80 MAD (around £6.50) for a 15-20 minute trip. Just make sure you agree the price with the driver before you go, and haggle.

Can’t say enough about how wonderful it is at Riad Dar Karma. The Riad and my room were both stunning. It’s right in the Kasbah, so very convenient, but super quiet. The staff is very friendly, everything is clean and the breakfast is very nice. If you have VIP status with Expedia, you will even get a free transfer from the airport. Overall, a fantastic stay!

The breakfast there was delightful and healthy. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. I had a truly excellent massage in their upstairs massage room. My room was great, well air conditioned and quiet.

The staff are so friendly and ready to help. The room was very comfortable and I loved the big, cold pool. We also enjoyed the hammam. The neighborhood is good, just a little walk to the main square but not too bad.
