About this villa rental
The villa offers spacious and inviting rooms. The interiors are tastefully decorated and well-furnished. The mattresses, sheets, and towels are of the highest quality. Equipped with ample on-site parking, a swimming pool, and a fully furnished garden, the property offers ample space and comfort for a relaxing stay.
There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, accommodating 8 people. In addition to the 8 beds, there is a children’s bed and a crib. The living area is spacious and bright. The windows are triple-glazed, and the interior doors are soundproofed. Air conditioning.
The kitchen features an island with a stove, where 4 or more people can sit and enjoy meals while they’re being prepared. The veranda, which overlooks the garden, offers ample space and furnishings suitable for lunches and dinners with guests. Upon advance request, we can arrange for extra cleaning services or the maintenance of both indoor and outdoor areas during your stay, allowing you to relax even more. The pool has an above-ground edge of at least 50 cm for children’s safety.
The surrounding landscape features the Tuscan hills, home to the nearby Convent of San Cerbone, which is just a 15-minute walk away. The surrounding mountains and hills are accessible via the many trails in the area. The villa is located an 8-minute drive from the city walls of Lucca and 20 minutes from Pisa; both are also accessible by bus, with a stop located less than a 10-minute walk from the villa along streets used only by residents.
The property is an excellent starting point for exploring Versilia—the coastline stretching from Viareggio to Forte dei Marmi—and the Apuan Alps, including the renowned Garfagnana region.
Upon request, we can arrange transfers with a driver to and from any airport or train station, as well as to visit Lucca or any other destination, including Florence, Pisa, the Chianti region, and the nearby Cinque Terre—with the port of La Spezia and Portofino—as well as Rome and Milan.
Guest reception, maintenance of the garden and pool, the daily removal of outdoor trash for recycling, and other daily tasks are handled by designated staff who are always on-site at the villa, residing in a secluded, independent living quarters with its own entrance and private spaces—with the sole exception of the occasional use of a parking space in the large parking lot (which can accommodate at least 5 cars).
Upon arrival, guests are offered a tasting of locally produced wines and cured meats. The staff is always available to assist or advise guests with any of their needs, such as the use of supplies and appliances, extra cleaning during their stay, or the organization of tours and transfers. Highly recommended—and available for the staff to arrange—are wine testings in the nearby Monte Carlo area or the surrounding Chianti hills, trips to the beach in Versilia, and, for mountain lovers, hikes along the numerous trails in the nearby Apuan Alps.

The surrounding area is calm and peaceful; in the evening, it’s hard to hear any noise other than the sounds of nature. A convent is located a short distance away. There is only local traffic. Out of respect for the neighborhood and to ensure a pleasant stay for all, guests are prohibited from hosting parties or entertainment events. After 11:00 PM, please avoid loud noise or excessively noisy activities, such as playing music at high volume.
Nearby, within a 5- to 10-minute drive, you can find excellent restaurants, pizzerias, and shops. For details, search online using Maps for: “Baffardello” restaurant, “Zio Jo” pizzeria, “Lo Scompiglio” restaurant, “A Bimbotto” restaurant and pizzeria, “La Perla” pastry shop, “Bullentini” deli and butcher shop, and “Cooperativa Guamo Sigma” supermarket. Our VRBO experience was elevated by the remarkable hospitality of our host, Carmine. From the moment we arrived, Carmine's warmth and attention to detail set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Greeted personally at the door, we were welcomed with a delicious spread of local wine, cheese, and fresh bread—a thoughtful gesture that instantly made us feel at home.He took time to share stories about the area, offering insights that enriched our understanding of the local culture and history. Whether we needed recommendations or logistical help, Carmine was always ready to assist. His suggestions led us to the best day trips, restaurants, and hidden gems in the region, ensuring every day was filled with unique and memorable experiences. If we needed reservations at a popular restaurant, Carmine made them for us. When we asked about the best gelato or pastry shops, he provided insider tips that guided us to exceptional local flavors. No request was too small, and his dedication showed in the way he anticipated our needs and exceeded our expectations.Carmine also acted as a personal tour guide, sharing his favorite local spots and arranging special outings. An evening spent savoring food from a favorite restaurant was a highlight, as was the private wine tour he organized. The spacious accommodations and beautiful grounds provided the perfect backdrop, but it was Carmine’s involvement that made our trip exceptional. We highly recommend this property.

Truly had such a lovely stay in this beautiful villa. We are a family of 8 (6 adults, 2 children under 5) and this worked perfectly for us. Comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms and Carmine the host was very attentive and helpful at all times. The villa is in great proximity to the main walled city of Lucca and there is plenty of space to park if you have hired cars (we had 2 cars). We all had a great time using the pool and the sunbeds and you get sun right through the day up until the evening. Would definitely recommend Carmine and this gorgeous villa.

I just spent a couple of nights in this gorgeous villa, just 5 min drive from Lucca Old Town! The place feels homey, very comfy beds and everything you need and more than that! Gardens are well kept and everything has got the new and taken care of taste! Carmine, the host, organised for me pick up from Pisa Airport, only 25 min away! Arriving at villa, immersed in rural yet residential area, was a perfect way to start my holidays in the sunny Tuscany! Quiet area, surrounded by trees and sounds of nature. Shame I could not stay longer, but will definitely come back and make sure it’s in summer so I can also use the swimming pool! Definitely recommended and worth it!
