Grand Duplex 120m2 - Vue Cathédrale - 6 pers - Parking

The property was extremely spacious and relaxing. The view of the Cathedral was excellent.

There is no lift. The property is located on the 3rd floor and there are in excess of 60 stairs to climb. An element of fitness is therefore required, especially with carrying luggage in mind. This should be mentioned in the booking information. Fortunately our group (aged early 60's) was able to cope with this but may not have the same level of fitness in a few years time. Also the parking space was not easy to find as the number painted on the ground has faded and needs repainting.

The size of the apartment was fantastic as was the view of the cathedral. Very centrally located.

I'm not sure that we were aware that there was 6 flights of stairs. With very large luggage it was an effort. Also you had to put the parking fob back in the apartment once you left the car park. This is very difficult if you can't find somewhere to park so that you can go back into the apartment to replace the fob.

Beautiful apartment, very clean, good location. You could see the beautiful cathedral from the window.

Quite a lot of stairs. Took a while to find the right car parking space.

The apartment was well equipped and very close to the cathedral which was the main reason for our booking.

Getting the keys and the fob to open the parking gate was not easy, luckily there were three of us so one could stay with the car while we worked out where the entrance door was (Google map takes you to the wrong location) as there was no space to park the car while we did so. W also had conflicting messages about the location and code for the fob. Once we got into the car park it wasn't easy to find the number of the allocated space because it was faded and it was evening. The picture the owner had sent helped up to a point. The flat was on the top floor with no lift. We only stayed one night and the fact that there were so many (threatening) rules to follow about stripping the beds and empty the rubbish bins made our stay rather stressful in the end we took the rubbish with us because it wasn't where it should be disposed, we could not find 'an archway with bins'. The check-in and check-out times were 5pm to 11 am (to be exact it said before 11 am). Most places we have been to have windows of 3pm-12pm or 2pm-11am. We asked if we could leave the car an extra half hour so that we could attend mass at the cathedral (the main reason for choosing this place) and as an answer we received again the list of rules, no words to say something along the lines "we are sorry we are not able to accommodate..." - that was rather off-putting, in fact plainly rude! So we left the flat just after 10am and drove to a public car park. One last thing the flat had many comforts which were carefully thought of, however, given that the small toilet had enough space for a small sink I wonder why it was not installed. It's not hygienic having to open two doors to wash one's hands after having ben to the toilet!
