Tudor Cottage Tewkesbury - hidden treasure

Spacious, clean, well equipped. Ideally situated if you want to pop out for an evening meal or drink in one of the towns bars or restaurants. Car park is a couple of minutes walk away, there is parking available, but only if you have a small car.

The mattress is a bit too hard for my comfort, but I would definitely stay here again.

An absolutely lovely place to stay, in a very convenient place on the high street, a short walk from the cathedral. The cottage was spotless, and really comfortable inside. The hosts were helpful in providing instructions about parking and how to find the cottage. We could have stayed much longer!

As other reviews mention, it's an old cottage so you can hear footsteps from upstairs, but the hosts left earplugs by the bed, which was very helpful. My toddler didn't seem to be disturbed by the noise, and we both slept really well! No negatives from us!

A lovely property with a homey feel. Very clean with a lot of information about the area. I had a lovely stay. The owners were very responsive to messages and quick to give information requested. I would absolutely love to stay here again.

The cottage itself was very well presented and had all the usual creature comforts you would expect and is ideally situated on the high street if like us you want to explore Tewkesbury. Private parking was available, at the rear, but as explained in the description, it was up a narrow lane that only a small car could traverse and so we were used one of the public car parks. Due to flooding we used a car park slightly further away by the Theatre which is a 5minute walk which is still great value at typically around £4 for a day.

The cottage is a lower ground flat rather than the full upstairs downstairs property and the neighbours upstairs start moving around at about 4am which tends to go on for several hours. This meant that due to creaking floorboards above the bedroom we ended up with restless nights for the duration of our stay.
