About this house rental
Located in the small fishing village of Westpunt, enjoy a relaxing holiday in our lovely seafront townhome named Sunset Retreat. Sunset Retreat is our island home, and is located in a quiet, gated community. We have tried to anticipate our guests’ needs and provide everything they would want to have a wonderful holiday. If you enjoy a self-catered holiday, this is the place for you!
The kitchen is well stocked with dishware, cookware and cooking utensils if eating in is your style. There is ample food preparation space in our very nice, updated kitchen with quartz countertops. Small appliances in the kitchen include a microwave, toaster oven, air fryer, blender, crock pot and coffeemaker. Each unit in Marazul has a charcoal grill as well. If you would prefer to eat out, there are several good restaurants within walking distance of Marazul. There is a dining table with two chairs inside near the sliding glass door so you can have a sea view while you dine. This table can be used as a dining table or computer workspace using our personal Wi-Fi.
The living area space is furnished with comfortable seating for watching TV or just relaxing after a day in the sun. Our Smart TV offers hundreds of international channels so no problem finding your favorite show, sports or a movie in your language of choice.
Coffee on the upper terrace is a great way to start your day as your sip your coffee and watch the sea. We have comfortable patio sets on both the upper and lower terraces. On the upper terrace, there is a pergola for shade.
Some of our other amenities include air conditioners on both floors of the townhome, hot water in the kitchen sink and both showers, a small safe in the upstairs closet to store passports and other valuables, and fans on both floors for additional cooling options.
The lower bathroom is a combo dive storage room/full bath. There is plenty of room there to hang BCDs and regs and store other dive equipment. The downstairs bath also has a shelf for luggage storage.
There are stairs leading into the sea at both ends of Marazul Dive Resort. These stairs are convenient for diving, snorkeling and swimming in the sea. The house reef here is a very nice dive. There are two rinse tanks and an outside shower next to the pool for rinsing and cleaning dive or snorkeling equipment.
The swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds is just steps from our seaside door. The townhome is close to the pool, so it is convenient to refresh your drink or grab that book you wanted to read as you relax.
We provide a cooler and beach chairs for guests who don't want to rent chairs and an umbrella at one of our nearby stunning beaches. Our townhome has screens on all the doors and windows.
Our unit is constantly updated and well maintained. There is a bench by the back door that can be used for diving/snorkeling. We also have a night watchman at Marazul who comes on duty at 11 pm. You may see his flashlight as he patrols the property.
Be sure to end your wonderful day by viewing the stunning sunsets from our upper terrace or enjoy the sunset with other guests and owners by the seawall.

2B was perfect. The townhouse is in a great location, a perfect mix of steps from the pool, amazing sunsets from the cabana with a cocktail, socializing with other guests who were lovely and interesting, snorkeling off the cliff in front, nearby restaurants and beaches, and minutes away from gorgeous national parks. The townhouse is well equipped for cooking at home, packing the car for an adventure day with cooler and beach chairs and lots of chilling out. Definitely recommend this place!

The hosts, Wendy and Jeff, were wonderful. Communication was prompt, personal, detailed and extremely helpful. The property was amazing - one of the best we enjoyed in over 20 years of booking through VRBO in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe. Though worried at first the the proximity to the quiet pool was ideal. The view from the front patio is made private by a lovely begonia hedge with songbirds. About 2 dozen lovely loungers out, never more than 4 or 5 other guests present. Yes, it was November, but the manager told us that even then they had 90% booked. A mature 50 demographic. Everyone friendly and respectful. The house was wonderful! Laundry, great dishwasher and induction cooktop. All new. We have rented in the past and found not even salt and pepper were provided. Here we counted 19 jars of spices. Rarely supplied foil and plastic wraps, Ziploc bags, and small appliances from a toaster oven to air fryer. Tons of kitchen tools from knives, cutlery and things like whisks or even a garlic press and twist ties to save leftovers. The WiFi was excellent, and even worked while at the pool. And finally, LP the resident cat. She was never to be allowed indoors, but would greet us each morning and evening for meals the hosts provided. If you are not a cat person you needn’t worry, she will just move along and mooch off someone else. She is friendly, sweet, and can also do okay on her own. But if you like a furry friend on holiday she is wonderful!Loved this place

Excellent, everything was as expected and more! Comfortable and well stocked with all you need. We enjoyed the pool being just steps away, close, but not too close. The location is ideal, several good restaurants nearby. A 3 minute drive to ‘Go West Diving’, and plenty of shore dive sites, even on site. Wendy, the owner, was a text away for any answers needed. But not necessary because everything was provided in pre-arrival communications, and in the on-site manual. Very well managed in every respect. Definitely would go again!

Everything we could have wanted and more! Perfect peaceful location. All the amenities. Pool right of the back door. Amazing views. We would DEFINITELY stay here again.
