Malika Retreat relaxed and cozy place to be in Curacao

We just stayed at Malika Retreat for two weeks and absolutely loved it! From the brand new upscale accommodations and appliances, to the large, private grounds with manicured tropical beauty. Everything was perfect for a relaxing private stay. The pool and pool deck are over the top with luxurious travertine stone deck, smooth,yet never slippery and cool on the feet in direct hot sunlight, yes, lots of sun! We had complete cooking facilities plus use of a large gas barbecue outside our patio door, yet wel ate out several nights, rather than cook. The restaurant Sol, is just across the road and is a good restaurant with a great view. The nearby Landhuis Misje, was also great food and ambiance. By far, the best restaurant in Westpunt and rated number 3 on the entire island, was Trio Penotti, which is about a 15 minute drive from Malika. Our host and hostess, Perry and Persita, were extremely friendly and helpful, yet laid back and enjoyable to talk to, like we knew them all our lives. If you're considering a stay in Westpunt, I highly recommend Malika. We met several other tourists, and visited their properties. It was like added reassurance that our choice was one we are grateful to have made. Thanks again Perry&Persita!
