Rodja Balinese House Ubud

A lovely traditional Balinese family home, cared for with pride by terrific hosts Putu and Rita and their beautiful family who made us feel really welcome. The rooms were comfortable with large double beds, a desk and wardrobe and air conditioning and the bathroom clean. The gardens were beautiful and well tended and the pet baby chickens roaming freely were adorable and our son loved spending time with them. The optional Balinese cooking lesson offered was beautifully presented and a fantastic learning experience, complete with learning about and making ceremonial decorations, and the subsequent lunch a delight! Putu also took us to a ceremony and parade at the local temple, which involved first dressing appropriately. As a wonderful guide, Putu shared the history, beliefs and meanings of the event. Such a treat.

Our stay was perfect. We were truly cared for like family. We also immersed ourselves in Balinese culture. We will be forever grateful for these moments together. I hope to see you again.

The property was so beautiful! Everything was kept perfectly and we had everything that we needed. Rita and Putuh were the kindest and most welcoming hosts. They treated us like family! The breakfast was delicious and they helped us with rides.
