Horrible stay

The accomodation was clean.

We arrived in the evening and there was no security lighting until you manually switch it on. The key safe was on a wall not near the door but it darkness its hard to see. To compound the problem , there is some roof work going and the ground was littered with slate , this makes it quite unsafe when walking in darkness. The flat itself was cold although heated quickly. The towels were damp, not cold but damp and the toilet weat did not have a cover. The bed was broken and there was no response when I tried to call the owner. I have taken alot of photos to back up how bad this made us feel. The flat was clean, the welcome pack was ok . We felt we didnt have a choice but to stay for the weekend especially as we had agreed to meet family. However we ended up sleeping on the couch ratjer than sleep on the bed. Millport is a lovely town but keep away from this property.

Sun was out on Millport, we had a great weekend break and 8 George Street largely contributed to this.

The flat was in excellent freshly decorated condition. Everywhere was scrupulously clean. All the kitchen appliances seemed really new and worked well. The bedroom was very quiet despite looking onto the street. Bathroom was spotless water was nice and hot. Parking was great, got parked outside no problem. Andrew went above & beyond in providing the little things one often overlooks packing when going self-catering. (Like who packs tinfoil?🥴) Andrew was very generous leaving complementary gifts.

Back door entrance way was pretty off putting as it was a bit like a demolition site. Grass on lawn was overgrown. My initial impression was, am I going to regret booking 8 George Street? So a garden makeover is definitely going to give a better 1st impression.
