Nice place for a warmer weather weekend.

We loved the location. The cabin was very nice and comfortable as well. The steps weren't too steep to the water. There isn't a main fridge, but the two small ones were enough for what we had. It rained almost all weekend, but we opened the umbrella over the picnic table and still sat outside. We were able to use the fire pit area finally on Saturday evening and it was really nice. If you don't like the outdoors or if there is inclement weather, there is an 80's model golf arcade game set up in the living area and lots of other games to choose from in the cabinet under the TV. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I didn't read the fine print and didn't realize there was a not a stove. They did have an electric skillet and crock pot for use, but there weren't many outlets to choose from, so the cooking inside was very awkward. The rug at the point of entry is not made to be an entryway rug. Please be careful walking inside because it slides. The pictures online make the house look bigger than it is, but it is still a decent size for a party of 4. The house is located right down the lake from Cajun Broilers, so it is close to a main highway. That being said, we did hear sirens all weekend. ( It didn't bother us too much, but I know some people are sensitive to that.) This is in NO WAY against the owner of the house. Evolve was hard to deal with. The Pet fee was not an issue, but Evolve made a separate charge for it. I spoke with them at length on one day for 9 minutes. Then they called me the day of check-in because they apparently didn't take care of it the week before during that call. On the day of checkout, we left, stopped to get gas in our vehicle, and I discovered that Evolve had taken it upon themselves to charge my account another $244.00. It has been 3 days and I still haven't seen the money be put back in. I understand it takes time to put money back, but it only took them 10 seconds to take it out. They said it was an error on their part, and have issued a refund, but I am not one who just readily has a ton of money to count on. We had planned to stop and have lunch and other things, but after that, my plans were cancelled. I never want to deal with Evolve again because this is the second time I have been done this way.
