Coco Island Villa

We were aware that the location is somewhat remote, but with a taxi and a rented motorbike it worked well for our needs. The room itself was a positive highlight: the bed was comfortable (which is not always guaranteed in Southeast Asia), and the room was clean and well maintained. However, several aspects of the overall experience fell short. The outdoor areas—including the pool, breakfast seating, and outdoor toilet—were not consistently kept clean, which impacted the overall atmosphere. Breakfast was average. We appreciated that the staff offered to source local specialties, which was a nice touch. However, the overall setup felt restrictive and overpriced: guests could choose only between coffee or tea, and water was not included if you selected coffee. Fresh juice had to be pre-ordered a day in advance and cost $2 for a small glass, which feels excessive compared to local standards. We arrived before 9:00 AM and stayed for six nights, but our room was not available before the official check-in time. The owner kindly offered us breakfast upon arrival, which we accepted with appreciation—however, we were later charged for two full breakfasts at checkout, which was unexpected and disappointing. Overall, while the room itself was comfortable, the lack of attention to shared spaces and the inconsistent approach to service and pricing reduced the value of the stay.

This place deserve 10/10 no questions about it. The best REM sleep I ever had. Would definitely come back again and again

- 10pts. The room was dirty, the bed hadn't been changed, we had ants and other insects in our room. The bathroom was wet like I was at the swimming pool. They change my room and it was the same. Really humid too and they don't think to turn on the air con before their customer arrive. Absolutely not normal and 0 standards. Run away as fast as you can ! 🏃🏻

Family run and friendly, CoCo is a but away feom the bridge crossing to Ancient Town, but they have free bikes available for guest use. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with small balconies and a decent shower. They bed was comfy. Although I didn't swim, the pool liiked inviting and clean. Good value for money and superb service.
