The property was in a fabulous location easy access to walking around Amble . The Cottage was beautifully equipped and looked fresh and modern . The balcony was a superb sun trap and provided views across the estuary. The outside space was also good and dog friendly. The owner thoughtfully left a cake and scones which was a nice treat after a long journey.
We were very fortunate in having hot weather during our stay ,but we felt the bed was on the small side and the duvet was very warm making sleeping a bit uncomfortable. It was classed as a large double , but maybe as we are used to a super king we thought it was a bit small.

There was a welcome basket waiting for us which contained high quality snacks plus scones with jam and cream. And a bottle of Prosecco! Went down very well after a 4 hour drive!
The accommodation was very comfortable, warm and plenty of hot water.
Close to excellent fish restaurants and, bonus, just a minute’s walk from the fabulous Alliance fish counter on the harbour.
We felt the kitchen kit would be improved by a few more serving dishes, bread knife and a teapot. But these are minor things because everything else was very good.
Also the bathroom was adequate but would definitely be a little cramped if there were 4 people staying (especially in the morning “rush hour”) and there was no shelving for toiletries.

I was very impressed with the property, great location and well equipped. This cream scones on arrival were welcome surprise!
The second bedroom was a bit tight on space, but overall manageable
