From the welcome pack to the facilities. This property is outstanding! Lot's of thought and care has gone into the house and you will find everything you need to enjoy your stay. Very spacious, warm and extremely welcoming. Books, games, cake, the attic bath.... The saddest part is we only booked a weekend. We will definitely be booking again and for longer. I have never felt more relaxed from a weekend away. Thank you very much guys 😊

Great location. Very well equipped. Liked the Northumbrian decor.

Heating did not work well on arrival. Quickly fixed by agent.

The heating !!! Why was it turned off at the boiler which we eventually worked out !? Why no schedule for it to come on and off ?? No response from hosts. Very disappointed to spend the first 24 hours of a 36 hour stay with no heating in December in a 4 bedroom house, then having to operate it manually as thermostat not working, from previous comments seems this may have happened before. We are very happy to amend this review should we receive some help from Sykes Cottages as they were also not very helpful. As it stands as much as I hate to do this other visitors need to be aware of this.
