L'Emeraude - Calm - Beach - WIFI

The location is great. I mostly walked, and didn't take the bus, as it only runs very occasionally. I like walking, so this is fine for me. When leaving and arriving with my luggage, I timed it, so that I would catch the bus, and that was fine. The apartment is around the corner from the beach, so that is great. I like running, so I started a run through the Cap d'Antibes from here, and loved it. You can either go to Juan-Les-Pines or Antibes for a train connection. Juan was a 22-min walk for me (I walk fast, also note it's up a hill!). Antibes was about a 29-min walk for me. To get to this train station you can get the aforementioned bus, too. Antibes town centre was maybe a 15-min walk away for me.

The apartment has everything needed, it's a little basic, but that's fine. I am reducing the rating, because they did not have an additional blanket available, which caused me to freeze two nights in a row (as the temperature had dropped just as I arrived), and I had a sore throat and was ill for the rest of my stay there (another four nights!), which was affecting my trip a lot. That could have been avoided by simply having additional blankets available. There is no one on site (or close-by) you can reach. It is all very anonymous and it feels like the hosts are based outside of the country, and I don't think anyone oversees the place in Antibes. When I asked for a blanket via Whatsapp (this is how they communicate), they said they don't have one (which I don't think is an appropriate response if you have someone freezing in your accommodation), and referred me to the heating option of the a/c. I tried this. It did not warm the room sufficiently, and also not quickly by any means. I was sleeping in additional clothes from my bag that were not meant to be worn inside the bed. It's a small but important detail in my opinion. I have a strong suspicion this business is run my a man, who doesn't have women in mind (no additional blankets, no bin in the bathroom)....you get my point.

Appartement idéalement situé au Cap d'Antibes à deux pas de la plage. Bien équipé et confort, nous avons pris plaisir à y séjourner. Stationnement facile (lors de notre séjour en hors saison). Rapport qualité/prix parfait !

Sinon l''appartement est un peu bruyant dû aux années de construction l'immeuble où l'insonorisation ne devait pas être une priorité (on entend par exemple la colonne d'eau des appartements du dessus). Et niveau électricité, c'est un peu la chasse aux interrupteurs (et lors de notre séjour, aucunes des deux lampes de chevets ne fonctionnaient).
