Magnifique "Gite de la Garoupe" au Cap d'Antibes à 300m des plages

Hostitele je velmi pozorný, osobně nás přivítal při příjezdu. Byl nám nápomocen radou , když jsme potřebovali. Snažil se nám vytvořit maximální prázdninovou pohodu.

This is a true corner of paradise in Antibes, nested in the middle of a lush garden and surrounded by woods, with a breathtaking view on the bay and the old town. If you want to enjoy the natural beauty of this region, this is the ideal place to stay. Peaceful and withdrawn yet very close to the beach and the town, both reachable on foot with a 10 minutes walk (beach) and 20 minutes (old town). Given that Antibes is a large city and densely built, this accommodation provides you with the ideal balance between peace and tranquillity and proximity to the lively activities and rich offer of the town. If you’ll walk just be aware of a rather steep and stony (but shadowy and car-free) way back home, as the house is on a hill. We like to hike so this was a perfect part of our days. The setup is ideal for the couple but we were there as a family of four, which worked especially thanks to the generous outside space one anyway wants to dwell in, but might get a bit crowded inside especially in the peak of the August heat. The two rooms have however all one needs in a simple yet curated and aesthetically pleasing setting, the only thing missing being air conditioning, which is however relevant only for the few heat wave weeks recently experienced in Europe. Very comfortable shower, efficiently equipped kitchen, and an excellent barbecue outside for easy and incredibly scenic summer dinners. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, and while he lives on the property and is always available to offer help or advice or just exchange a nice chat, you will enjoy your privacy and feel very much on your own.

The location in wonderfull, the host is a great person, very helpfull and nice. It is great for outdoor stays, the barbeque area is relaxing. Overall the place is great especially for plant enthusiasts, there are a great variety of plants on the property. It is very close to the beach and the host is happy to help with tips and tricks.

The efficiency apartment is located at the top of a steep driveway near the city center. Quiet. Its a steep walk down to the beach which is covered in rocks. A sandy beach is located in town, not far away, but it is very crowded, especially on the weekends. The apartment is limited to the windows you see on the bottom floor. The owner lives on the top floor. The efficiency does not have air conditioning, so it was quite hot with evening temperatures in the high 80s. Mosquitos were in abundance and the only way to cool down the place was to leave the windows open and get bitten a lot or close the windows and swelter. A good mosquito net around the full size bed might have been quite helpful. The owner is very friendly and I can't blame him for the high temperatures, but it was very difficult to sleep.

Description of property says whole house, but it is a small efficiency apartment at base of house with a galley kitchen and airliner size toilet and very small wash area. Photos are dated. Will be unpleasant during any warm temperature months.
