The perfect little retreat

This was our first time staying at castle view chalet, and it certainly won't be the last! This is a little gem of a place to stay. It was so cosy, warm and comfortable, even in bad weather. Everything in the chalet is so well thought through, with everything you could need provided. To us, it felt like a luxury apartment in minature! The view over to dinas bran is stunning, we took a walk up to the castle, and it was fun to spot the chalet from standing at the castle ruins looking down. Our friendly goat neighbors were adorable, and we very much enjoyed feeding them with the goat food provided by Sian. Sian and Gary were the perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful, but also giving us complete privacy and space to relax, which we really appreciated. The location of this chalet is also perfect, with the town just a short 5 minute walk away, and a multitude of walking paths right from the door. What else can i say, we really loved castle view, and we will be back again very soon!

Perfect location is a quaint village surrounded by nature

Beautiful scenic location! Views were amazing. Owners were communicative and attentive. Space was clean, full of additional extras too. Welcomed by the goats and chickens. Netflix and sky an added bonus and milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Got an hello and nice goodbye from coco the dog and Sian in the morning. Will be looking to stop again.

The perfect place for a weekend away

Perfect! It’s a great small space, a short and pleasant walk into town but definitely situated in a quiet place. Great views of the castle with a good outside area and surprisingly large bathroom too. Didn’t use the WiFi (my EE signal was fine) but the sky tv was an added bonus The owners were lovely, very accommodating and when I hinted I may be cycling over, they offered me storage space for my bike.

Great location, fairly private and so nice to feed the goats!

Great views, cozy, and I quite enjoyed having sky tv to watch a bit of football in the evenings. Special mention to the goats and chickens knocking about, so lovely. Also appreciated the fresh milk left so I could have a brew on arrival.

Sweet little chalet

The views were gorgeous, the goats and chickens were delightful and really made the long weekend. Sian was very friendly, over messages, and Gary lovely in person when we randomly met him. We didn't feel overlooked, and although small, the chalet had everything you needed for a relaxing stay.

Gorgeous stay

Absolutely stunning! Perfect, the hosts were so lovely. We messaged when we arrived and they moved the cars around so we could park on their drive. Communication before and during was brilliant they replied instantly. We stayed here for a wedding in tyn dwr hall. The hosts were lovely enough to help us check in and actually give us a lift to the wedding venue. They welcomed us with warmth and complimentary hot chocolate. The kitchen area was stocked with tea, coffee and milk. Bathroom was also stocked with body wash, shampoos and conditioner. Perfect for what we needed. We woke up to 2 gorgeous goats who we fed with the goat feed left in our room. There was a TV in the room we could watch and the bed was comfy for 2.

A Cozy Hideout with Charming Company

Our welcome to Castle View was absolutely delightful: the goats came bounding up to us as soon as we arrived, instantly winning our hearts! This charming, tiny spot is perched atop a little hill, offering serene views of the Castle Ruins. While our room was small and basic, everything functioned perfectly. We truly cherished the tranquility here, especially enjoying our simple, rustled-up dinners and breakfasts while sitting at the hilltop, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The location is ideal too, just a 10-minute stroll from the pretty town. We spent our time there taking leisurely summer strolls, indulging in ice cream, and savoring delicious Welsh cakes and flapjacks. It was simple, yes, but absolutely glorious!

A great little chalet centrally located in Llangollen with a gorgeous view of the castle.

Castle View was just ideal for our stay. The location is central, without being in the middle of town, so was quiet and away from the traffic. The property was absolutely spotless and, although small, had every possible facility that we needed. Clearly a lot of thought and work has gone into the chalet and the visitor book, with lots of positive feedback, including ours, was testament to this. The owner even gave us a lift to the concert we were going to the other side of the town centre - much appreciated in 30 degree heat!

Ok ! Loved it but for us we would have benefited from more kitchen stuff- bowl to do a mixed salad in! Glass bowl or something microwaveable to heat beans, porridge or soup in! Small frying pan and saucepan to use on gas ring outside - we could have boiled pasta, spuds or done a fry up!! 😂sorry but am not a fan of microwave meals

Excellent location with goats and chickens for company!

Excellent location with communicative hosts. Lovely outlook over the castle and hills, and the goats and chickens next to the chalet who loved being fed were an additional unexpected bonus! 5 min walk to the centre of Llangollen with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, and a Co-Op too.

The castle view box

The hosts were very friendly and didn't have any issues with anything while I stayed there I will definitely be booking again . Also I loved feeding the pet goat .also sky sports was a bonus amazing.

Comfortable stay in a lovely part of Wales

The view was magnificent. The sofa converted to a comfortable bed and the cabin was warm and cosy.
