Greenacres

The room and ensuite were both spacious and clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Our room had water views which was lovely and our friends had garden views. They spotted some local deer grazing in the front garden. There is a lounge area and dining room which was handy for our group (2 x couples) to share a wine together at the end of the day. We also used the dining room to eat our breakfast (local yoghurt, granola and fruit purchase at the local shop - best Greek yoghurt ever.

A small bar fridge in the room would have been handy, but we did find that not many rooms in the UK have bar fridges. Everything else was fine.

It had a beautiful view of the water.

I could not put meds that needed refrigerating in the refrig we were supposed to be able to use because it was broken. The sitting area is freezing, the property is overgrown, The one person who seemed to be connected to the place walked into the staff kitchen and never acknowledged us. This place looks fantastic in the guide books but the information must be old .

It is a beautiful guest house with lovely views, set securely off the road with plenty parking facilities. Our double room in room 11 was comfortable with a small en suite. Liked the tea/coffee/shortbread on offer.

My daughter in room 1 mentioned next morning that there was no hot water from the tap and the room was cold as the radiator was not working. It was a pity that no breakfast was on offer as finding a cafe on a very rainy Sunday morning that it is open is not easy. Finally found ONE. The location is a good 20/25 mins from the town centre, walk ok but not good in bad weather. Thankfully it was not raining for our walk up to the town and back at night. Did not see any taxis or buses about. A little expensive considering no breakfast was on offer.

The view

No on-site personnel- limited service. Public spaces not that clean. Outer spaces need refurbishing. Small rooms.
