We had an incredible stay! The staff was super helpful and kind. The breakfast with made-to-order coffee is delicious. The room was lovely and comfortable. Plus, it has an elevator to make it easier to bring up suitcases. This place is so conveniently located! The only concern is that, because they don’t have a desk person after 7pm, sometimes other guests leave access doors open, which isn’t too safe.

What a quaint bed and breakfast in a great location! After a quick walk from the train station we found ourselves in a wonderful oasis with Florentine charm. After a great night sleep in comfortable beds we enjoyed a tasty breakfast then set out for the best of Florence accessed at our doorstep. Would definitely recommend!!!

The hotel told us they didn’t receive our reservation through Expedia, even though they did eventually found out that Expedia has sent the reservation into their email. We booked for five nights, and they only have one night available. The staff told us she was sorry about the situation, and we can drink the water in the mini bar for free. Then the next morning, another staff came over and charged quite a bit for the drinks. The room had a very high ceiling and the ac was barely working, it can’t cool off the room at all… It is a very dishonest place….. will never book it again.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, ready to share recommendations on travelling around and out of Florence and provided simple yet rich breakfast with everything you need for your day exploring. Location was excellent, super central and close to all sites we wanted to visit. Thank you for your hospitality, we loved it here!

Residenza Castiglioni was a great place to stay for me as a solo traveler. Its location is amazing and they have great breakfasts from 8-10AM. The only issue for me was figuring out how to get past the giant iron gated door to actually enter the building. There is no indication of what to do to get in until you get your keys from the lobby on the 2nd floor of the building. I almost had a mini panic attack from worry that I would have to sleep on the streets ! And no one answered the phone when I tried to call the hotel to ask for help. But aside from that situation, the room itself was very nice, kept very clean, and was perfect for my 4 night trip.

Very convenient location. Easy walking distance to the train station and attractions. Staff accommodating and helpful, including holding our bags after check-out. Our room was larger than expected. Had some of the feel of staying in an old palazzo, with antique furniture, high ceiling and exposed beams. Room was clean and well-kept, as was the bathroom. Housekeeping attended to it daily. Breakfast was extensive considering that the property only has 6 rooms. Some very good restaurants close by, as well as some shopping. Also very close to the Mercato Centrale and Mercato San Lorenzo. We were very happy with the property and would recommend it to travelers looking for something a little different than the average hotel room.

Breakfast as well was a bit cramped, but well prepared and staff were prompt in making room for guests as quickly as possible. The location was PERFECT. Within easy walking distance of all the historical sights we wanted to visit. Parking as well was a breeze. I would be happy to stay again and encourage you to try it out.
