Lovely 2 Bedroom Holiday Chalet near Sidmouth

Very modern Is a lot bigger than expected and shown by the pictures Patio area and bench was nice to have for breakfasts and evenings

We had the below issues during our stay, which we contacted the host about via email on Monday evening but are still awaiting a response. 1. Plug for bath is stuck in bath as it doesn’t have a handle / anything to grab to get it out and no plunger in apartment to use an alternative solution. 2. Shower door doesn’t close properly 3. Shower pressure is very weak 4. Plug for shower is loose, so have to shower with open plug hole. 5. Corners of room weren’t cleaned properly (spiders and cobwebs in most) 6. Oven didn’t work, only the stove did - so struggled to cook meals each day. 7. Road to apartment needs filling in / fixing as many potholes

The location was perfect for what we wanted. It was close to the sanctuary where we adopt a donkey. This is our second time we have stayed in the chalet and it's a simple run in from the Midlands where live. We must comment about the fabulous breakfast at the sanctuary.

Not a lot that we didn't like however, unlike our first stay we noticed a distinctive odour that seemed to be present through out the property and also the sofa's seemed also to have the odour but it didn't spoil our stay.

Property was nice in a quiet location near to what we went for, comfy beds and a nice big bathroom

Unfortunately we got quite a few ants around the kitchen area. Tried my best to clear away and keep food/drink away but they seem to be coming in through the kitchen door

Comfortable, clean, everything you need on hand, overall nice little bungalow. Lovely area for walking, you can get to the coast path on foot very quickly. Good place to stay in East Devon.

I stay in holiday accommodation, of all types, all over UK, and never have I been made to feel so unwelcome. Firstly the info which is sent has a link which gives incorrect and very intimidating messages. It tells you what to do with 2 sets of keys, gives an incorrect key code and states that if you do not follow the instructions to the letter, YOU WILL BE CHARGED. There was only 1 set of keys, so could not comply with instruction. I attach screenshot as key code is not that shown. You will also see that there are instructions about rubbish again if you do not follow to the letter YOU WILL BE CHARGED. In order to receive booking in instructions they make you fill in a form which is very invasive of privacy, and, even though already paid in full insist on card details, so that they can charge you for anything they think you may have done. On top of all that was told on received info that someone would meet us at accommodation, but whilst I was walking on first day of booking someone called me, said they were trying to text me to give me a key code but as I hadn't replied gave it to me verbally, I noted it was different from one on link. Later I saw the text and was astounded. Yes, it gave me a key code, but also said that we mustn't get the towels or sheets dirty or YOU WILL BE CHARGED and that they had charged lots of people for this. I have a screenshot of this text but I don't think I should attach it as it gives the correct key code which is obviously not for public to see. It is a shame that whoever runs this accommodation behaves like this as, I stated above, the accommodation is fine. I think they want guest's money but for them not to actually stay there!
