Bamboo Cottage

It was spacious and well equipted. Just what we needed. The location was tranquil and our host was lovely.

For a longer stay, a bit more space for clothing would be a nice addition

This was an amazing place which fully exceeded my expectations. The cottage itself was immaculate, well-decorated, cosy and felt like a home away from home. The facilities were wonderful and clean. The garden makes you feel like you’re in another world. The owner is so friendly and truly a lovely person. If you are thinking of booking a place in Riebeek-Kasteel I would highly recommend choosing this cottage as you will not be disappointed.

I stayed here during my solo 50th birthday road trip and it was everything I hoped for — spotless, comfortable, beautifully kept and full of little luxuries. As a woman travelling alone, I felt completely safe. The parking is secure, the cottage is private and the whole place has a calm, cared‑for atmosphere. The facilities were wonderful, the bed super comfortable, the hot water amazing after long days on the road and every detail felt thoughtfully done. And Karin, my host, was absolutely lovely — warm, welcoming and genuinely attentive without ever being intrusive. I loved my stay and would come back in a heartbeat.

Karen was a lovely host, very friendly and accommodating. The cottage is beautifully decorated and met our expectations.
