Saint Germain by Melvane

The host was very communicative. They had lovely amenities for the bathroom and coffee in the kitchen which was a really nice (and appreciated) touch. The location was very well situated in the heart of Saint Germaine. Also the beds were extremely comfortable! 😊

Unfortunately Theo shower door didn’t close well which caused water spillage in the bathroom floor.

The location is very convenient, with many restaurants, bars, and stores nearby. The property is furnished with new furniture, which is nice. The kitchen utensils such as plates, knives, and glasses were clean and sufficient. The bedroom items, including pillows and bedding, were also clean and adequate.

The floor was not clean. The curtains are very thin and do not block the light, so the street lamp outside makes the room very bright at night. The bedroom window also has a hole for the air conditioner that is not properly installed, which allowed a lot of noise from the street and people outside till 2am. As a result, the room was very noisy.

Location was good for access to restaurants and attractions.

Unit is a lot smaller than it appears in pictures. Place was not properly cleaned. Dishes and utensils dirty from prior guests. Floors appeared not swept. Also, the room had complimentary hospitality boxes that include coffee pods, tea, sugar etc.., while others packets had detergent to wash laundry. Problem is that the boxes had been used where some items missing. Eg. Coffee pods. Room had small tv yet no channels. You had to use your own streaming service to watch. And to top it all off, asked for early check for 12pm several times with no reply. Wanted to drop off luggage. . On 3rd attempt on day of arrival mgmt replied that it would cost 50 euros extra to get the room ready in advance of the standard 4pm check in. The time was 1.30 pm so was not going to pay extra for a measly few hours. Lastly, wifi info in room was ineligible to read. Looks like it got wet and the info washed out. Its minor but goes to show details are overlooked. Seems like they do an incomplete and rushed job of prepping rooms between guests. Place is overpriced for what you get.
