We rented both of the property owner's apartments located on the 3rd floor for 5 nights. Each apartment was lovely and spacious with nice amenities in a great location in Ortigia. Taxi stand is out front of the apartment building. Public parking either at Talette or the marina parking (near the Grand Hotel Ortigia) is a short walk. However, no car is needed as everything is walkable in Ortigia itself. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return in the future. The property owner is responsive and the apartment is superbly maintained and very nicely appointed with comfortable beds, high ceilings, balconies, and pretty views of Ortigia including the marina in the distance. Additionally, the building has a rooftop deck that is shared only by the 2 apartments we rented on the 3rd floor. The rooftop deck is nicely furnished and is simply wonderful to enjoy any time of day with lovely views of the town and the water/marina in the distance and the moon and stars at night. Lastly, the apartments had nice touches including water, drinks, snacks, toiletries, laundry detergent - and a washing machine (no dryer but drying rack in the apartments). The washing machine, ironing board and iron are located in a private, locked room (we were given a key) one flight up on the way to the roof top deck. Other reviews comment on hearing music and hustle and bustle of some street noise. Well, as to be expected, there was some street noise of sorts but none of it was intrusive or bothersome to our stay or kept us up at night. Bring earplugs if desired, but again, any street noise didn'd disturb our stay. We even opened our balcony to listen to music from band across the street playing outside at a restaurant. The singer and music was so good, we went down to the restaurant and enjoyed it further. Bottomline: The apartments were great and had everything we needed. Staying in a nice place makes the visit all the better. It was a perfect stay in a nice apartment!

There’s no elevator in many of the buildings in Ortigia including this building (which we knew in advance so it was not a surprise). So there's a few flights of steps to the apartment which none of us minded as the apartment is worth the walk. The property owner met us in person and helped carry our luggage to the apartment. A nice gesture indeed.

Loved how light and bright the apartment was, with doors that opened to the lively streets below. It was an ideal location, close walking to everything no. Host was very friendly and the apartment felt very cozy. It was fun to listen to the hustle and bustle and music below.
