The location is excellent—great views, plus nice restaurants and a deli in the same building. We were not bothered by the foghorn and lighthouse. Security and building staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

We expected more from this apartment. Having stayed in a couple of other apartments nearby, this was definitely below par in comparison. The overall cleanliness was below the expected standard, with mould on the upstairs bathroom ceiling and visible marks on the walls, rugs, and couches. There was only one key provided, and the front door requires a key to be opened from the inside, which is inconvenient. The apartment is quite basic, and a few relatively simple improvements by the owners/host would make a significant difference. These could include providing mugs that properly fit in the coffee machine, hooks for used towels, and paper towels. Maybe provide a couple of board games and some other personal touches. It would also be helpful to receive clearer information before arrival about what guests can expect in the apartment—for example, whether detergent and other basic supplies are provided, how to arrange a cleaning service if required, and where to dispose of black bags. Overall, we felt the apartment fell short of expectations. With better attention to cleanliness, a few basic amenities, and clearer information for guests, the experience could be significantly improved.
