The place was clean and the rooms offered a good air-conditioning. Beds had good quality and I enjoyed a good rest.

This is a first experience with home stay. In comparison with a hotel it is a complicated process to get the keys, with instructions left by whatsapp. The lack of human interaction is in particular off-putting. Personal attention and hospitality is completely lacking. This is a hard nosed business concept, which in my view, is detrimental to the social fabric of the community. The property is located near the general hospital, at a side lane of a hectic area which features abundant traffic and an eatery, open 24/ 24 hours. In addition, the homestay activity was like a "fish market" experience, with large families (sometimes 3 generations) pushing trolleys and bags into overcrowded lifts. Overall, it gives the impression of an overwhelmingly commercial building (real- estate investment), rather than a residency. I can understand the lure though offered by a soft rental charge. But you get what you pay !
