Ponder Bali Canggu

It was exactly as pictured, super cute and great for our girls getaway. It was near enough to everything we wanted to do and the pool was great to have, always clean and the workers were always kind and helpful :)

The staff were very nice and welcoming, which I appreciated. The pool area is cosy and well-maintained — a pleasant spot to unwind. The location is also quite good: slightly tucked away from the noise and crowds, yet still convenient, especially being right next to Pererenan. The in-room kitchen was a useful feature, equipped with a decent-sized fridge — handy for stocking up on fruits or drinks.

While the rooms are nicely styled and appear well-designed at first glance, there are several serious functional shortcomings that significantly affect the comfort of the stay: Tiny kitchen table – The table is extremely small, barely usable even for one person, and completely impractical for two. What makes it more frustrating is that there's clearly enough space for a larger, functional table — this feels like an oversight rather than a constraint. Useless daybed as a couch – The downstairs daybed can work if you only use it for sleeping, but it’s practically unusable as a couch due to the complete lack of a backrest. Sitting on it for any length of time is uncomfortable and awkward. No full-length mirror – The absence of a full-length mirror is another puzzling design choice. There’s plenty of room for one, and it’s a basic amenity you’d expect in any place that aims to offer comfort and convenience. Very uncomfortable mattress – The mattress feels cheap and unsupportive right away. It clearly compromises sleep quality and gives the impression that comfort wasn’t prioritized at all. No blackout curtains and privacy concerns – The rear windows don’t have blackout curtains, which already makes sleeping difficult for anyone sensitive to light. More concerning is the fact that the curtains are transparent when the lights are on, meaning you’re visible to people outside. This is a serious privacy issue and should come with a clear warning — guests shouldn’t have to find this out by accident. Poorly washed towels – While cleaning was punctual and generally fine, the towels had a noticeable unpleasant smell, as if they hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. In a tropical climate like Bali’s, proper sanitation is crucial — using bleach or more effective washing practices would go a long way in maintaining hygiene standards.

the studio was very comfortable and very aesthetic. I didn't think it would look even better in real life than in pictures. The bed was also very soft and comfortable. The staff was always available and met all expectations. Also very friendly and helpful staff + gatekeeper. recommended to come again! :)

"Pause and ponder" - I really love the hotel's concept. Ponder truly is a beautiful place to stay! I especially enjoyed the comfortable bed with the soft and high quality linen, the kitchen with the offered mineral water and the lovely furniture and decoration. It felt so much like home that I extended my stay several times. I definitely recommend staying here and I'd love to come back! The staff is very adorable and one more reason to stay at Ponder! They are really kind people and always ready to help. When I had an accident, they called the doctor, looked after me and assisted me in every possible way. My special thanks go to Dharma and Dwi, but also to Agus and all the other staff members who made my stay as comfortable as possible and even brighter.

During my stay was a construction going on which got noisy sometimes. I got informed about it in advance and I am glad that I didn't cancel as for me the advantages of Ponder outweighed the ongoing construction.

It’s tucked away and hidden from the main roads. There is staff available 24/7 and security in the evenings. The decor is lovely and the beds are really really comfortable. The aircon is great and shower was lovely! The kitchen and fridge are a good size if you wanted to do some cooking from your room rather than eat out.

We like it is new property, everything works and clean. Also we like the soft bed, small kitchenette with clean plates, bowls and cups. O and electric kettle for hot tea.

We did not find enough space for car parks. Fortunately we the only ones have to park our car. But if there's 5 other cars need to park then i don't know where they going to arrange that. Also we find the pool is on the unmanaged side. The water looks dirty, surely they can clean it more. One more thing is the stairs, they are steep. That reminds me to report that there are steep stairs every where. So no wheelchair. But that is also part of charms of this property. It follows the countour of the land and lanscaping it quite beautifully

It’s so beautiful here. Literally feels home :) and the staff are so nice here! Also the surrounding areas have many trees. Very peaceful area without any noise from the parties.

Het personeel is echt heel erg vriendelijk, de kamers zijn schoon, fijne ligging en ik het ziet er echt super cute uit!

Er viel eigenlijk niks tegen, ik ben echt heel erg tevreden over dit verblijf!!

La résidence est super, mieux que sur les photos ! Le matelas super confortable. La gentillesse du personnel 10/10! Proche du centre et petit café devant la résidence !

La décoration et surtout le lit incroyable, un matelas digne d'un nuage c'était magnifique

Die Unterkunft ist recht neu und alles ist schön und es ist sauber. Die Lage ist sehr gut, sie ist ruhig und trotzdem gibt es alles in der Nähe was man braucht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Ich würde definitiv die Unterkunft nochmal buchen.

Leider ist eine Baustelle direkt neben an. Bin 8-17 Uhr wird gebaut, mal ist es lauter mal geht es, aber um 17:00 Uhr wird pünktlich aufgehört. Mich hat es nicht so sehr gestört, da ich sowieso tagsüber unterwegs war.
