We were within easy walking distance to the beaches and food suppliers, cafes and a supermarket.
The shower is amazing, by far the best ever.
Comfy bed.
All the basics we needed was here.
We contacted the owner for an extra night and it was arranged immediately.
The deck is very small and the windows were dirty, especially those on the deck. Like looking through smoky glass.

Excellent location within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants and shopping area. Enjoyed the outdoor seating area with view. Small kitchen space but perfectly adequate to make a snack or breakfast. Lovely outdoor pool and spa. Would stay again.

Loved that the bathroom wasn't right beside the bed. Enjoyed balcony pool and gym facilities.
Parking is way to tight. Spa jets need improvement. Aircon in gym is needed. Lacking kitchen if that's what your after but for us it was fine

Room 344 Oceanside Resort was advertised as a one bedroom apartment, so we expected to find an apartment with a separate bedroom and an equipped kitchen. This was not the case. There is a double bed in what should have been set up as a lounge room. The two other rooms that we can only assume are bedrooms were locked. As was a cupboard with additional bedding. The first night we stayed, it turned very cold and we were very cold in the bed to the point of having to put outdoor clothing on.
I really love Mount Maunganui and have fond memories from visits in the past, so I was disappointed to bring my husband to a less than satisfactory accommodation.
The location is very good with the beach and eateries close by, but the 'apartment' did not have any reasonable facilities to make a proper meal for ourselves. The only place to wash and do the dishes is in the bathroom at the one tap.
If this accommodation had been advertised correctly, I would have sought a proper apartment in a similar location. I'm sorry that I can not give this place a better review, but these are the facts and important for future guests to know.

We are now in a very well equipped apartment with a separate bedroom in the Auckland CBD that is only $45 a night more than what Oceanside Resort cost us
