Summary:
Villa Fabbrica is a delightful Italian villa set in the heart of the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. It sits in the ancient village of Fabbrica, close to the Church of Sant' Andrea and wine cellars. It is surrounded by slopes planted with vines along with woods filled with oak, acacia and cypress trees and abundant fields.
The Space:
The interior of Villa Fabbrica has been carefully and extensively renovated. Exposed oak beams, terracotta floors and rustic Tuscan furnishings have kept the style and character of the property. Another incredibly original feature is the large hall on the ground floor. This would once have been a stable but it's now a fantastic space suitable for meetings and celebrations. It can comfortably host up to 50 people for events. A focal fireplace here adds plenty of character.
Also on the ground floor of Villa Fabbrica is a kitchen and two bedrooms. One of these bedrooms has a double bed whilst the other is furnished with two single beds. These bedrooms share a bathroom with shower.
Moving to the first floor of Villa Fabbrica via an old stone staircase, guests will find a large living space with adjacent dining room. There is another kitchen on this floor along with three further bedrooms. All these bedrooms have adjacent bathrooms (one of which has a bath tub as well as a shower whereas the others just have a shower). Two of the bedrooms have double beds whilst the third has two single beds.
On the second floor of the villa, there is a large study. Should additional sleeping space be required, this can also be used as a bedroom and two single beds can be provided here.
Outside, Villa Fabbrica is surrounded by extensive gardens. There is an outdoor swimming pool (12 x 6 metres and 1.4 metres deep), around which sun beds and umbrellas have been arranged. There is also a BBQ area for al fresco dining. A pergola and loggia provide a lovely space to relax together outdoors at mealtimes.
Please note that there is also a separate laundry room within the grounds.
Please note that the owners of Villa Fabbrica are very aware of environmental issues. In recent years, they have equipped the villa with an ecological pellet boiler.
The Neighborhood:
The nearest shops and restaurants are at Tavarnelle Val di Pesa which is just over a 5 minute drive away. Florence and San Gimignano are both accessible in approximately 35 minutes, Siena and Volterra in 50 minutes and Montalcino in an hour and a half.
